OverkillUnique Two-Handed Mace 725 Item Power 1,711 Damage Per Second
Flavour Text: The malformed snake creatures that live in the swamps are not content with simply killing their prey. They seem to take a malicious pleasure from inflicting as much suffering as possible before death. Requires Level 60 Barbarian |
It drops from the following bosses:
Overkill makes Death Blow create a shockwave, dealing damage to enemies in a frontal cone. Enemies who die to this effect reset the 15-second Death Blow cooldown.
The other affixes increase Overpower damage (in addition to the Overpower increase from the inherent physical characteristic of the mace itself), extra Physical damage, and two types of additional damage to Injured enemies -- one a straight damage modifier and one a bonus to Critical Strike damage. Since Injured means at or below 35% Health, this truly is a weapon made for the killing blow.
It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.
You can wear multiple different unique items and gain each of their benefits.
Overkill is a Barbarian Unique Mace. Death Blow create a shockwave, dealing 16-30% of its Base damage to enemies. Enemies who die to this effect also reset Death Blow's Cooldown.
Overpowered attacks deal bonus damage to enemies based on the sum of your current Life and Fortified Life.
Attacks have a 3% chance to Overpower. This chance cannot be passively improved, but some effects can cause attacks to be guaranteed to Overpower.
Direct damage includes all damage dealt to enemies that is not from damage over time effects. Only direct damage can Critically Strike, Damage over Time cannot. Each hit has a random chance to be a Critical Strike. This chance is equal to your Critical Strike Chance (CSC) stat, which can be increased in many different ways.
Players and enemies are Healthy when they are above 80% Life and Injured when they are below 35% Life.
Physical damage is the most common type of damage, associated with white, red or black colors. All the hero classes and almost all monster types have a physical damage attack as their default attack. Any melee blow or kinetic missile will count as Physical. If damage type of a weapon or skill is not specified, it is most likely Physical. Bleed effects use Physical damage type as well. In addition, Demon Hunters, who use the power of shadow itself, also deal Physical damage when they unleash hatred of the pure darkness. Necromancers, in turn, use the powers of Blood and Bone to deal Physical damage.
Death Blow is a Weapon Mastery skill used by Barbarian in Diablo IV.
