List of D4 Elite Affixes
Elites are more powerful enemies that can randomly spawn anywhere you encounter regular monsters in Diablo 4. They have higher health, damage and come with a range of possible Elite Affixes. These affixes are extra abilities cast by these Elites that make combat more engaging and require you to outplay them.

In each higher World Tier, monsters are more challenging. They run faster; their projectiles are more accurate and faster; their powerful attacks have reduced cooldown and are stronger; and Elite affixes are more powerful.

Max number of Elite affixes
Elites have been seen with as many as 4 Elite affixes. Each additional affix increases the danger and unpredictability of the Elite. Hardcore characters should especially tread with care.
Identifying Elite monsters
Elites are denoted on the minimap as skull icons, which players can see shortly before they arrive at an Elite's location.
Once a player attacks an Elite, a notification is shown in the chat window informing all Party members (or just the player, if no Party).
Bonus Damage Upon Killing an Elite:
- You deal {#} bonus damage for {#} seconds after killing a Champion, Elite, Boss or Player.
Bonus Damage vs Elites:
- Increases damage dealt to Champions, Elites, Bosses and Players.
- You have +{#} of this stat from items and Paragon.
Damage Reduction from Elites:
- Reduces incoming damage taken from Champions, Elites, Bosses and Players.
- As this stat increases, additional bonuses become less effective.
Bonus Movement Speed Upon Elite Kill:
- You gain {#} Movement Speed for {#} seconds after killing a Champion, Elite, Boss or Player.
Lucky Hit Execute:
- You have a base {#} chance to instantly kill enemies who are below 35% Life when you damage them.
- This probability scales with the Skill used and your Lucky Hit Chance Bonus.
- Cannot activate against Champions, Elites, Bosses, or Players.
Elites and Champions
Elites and Champions, staples in the Diablo franchise, will be in Diablo IV, with the latter only appearing in Nightmare (World Tier 3) difficulty and upwards. Some familiar elite affixes are returning with them — for example: Mortar, Frozen, and Waller. Enhancing affixes are a new category, which improves on a monster’s base powers. For instance, monsters with the Multishot affix might fire three projectiles instead of one, or resurrect three monsters instead of one.
- There are many different Elite Affixes. Understanding how they work is crucial to be successful against the toughest foes.
- Elites can have 1-3 elite affixes.
- Minions can spawn alongside Elites and have increased health.
