Diablo 4 Overpower Chance & Overpower Damage

Overpowered attacks deal bonus damage to enemies based on the sum of your current Life and Fortified Life.

Attacks have a 3% chance to Overpower. This chance cannot be passively improved, but some effects can cause attacks to be guaranteed to Overpower.

Combat damage text is colored to mean different things: Critical Strike, Overpower, and Critical Hit combined with Overpower.

Diablo 4 Overpower Damage

Whenever you see a light blue damage number, that's overpowered. Or if you happen to overpower and Critical with the same attack, the damage number will be in Orange.

  • Effects that guarantee an Overpower on your next cast will always be consumed on the next appropriate cast, regardless of whether a target is hit. If you have multiple of such effects activate, only one will be consumed per cast.

Overpower Season 2 Changes

  • Overpower attacks now always deal up to x50% increased damage, based on your current life percentage.
  • Overpower attacks gain +2% damage per 1% of your Base Life you have in Fortify.
  • Overpower attacks gain +2% damage per 1% of your Base Life that you have in bonus life above your Base Life.
  • All Overpower Damage Affixes have increased by 50%.
  • Overpower Damage Paragon Glyphs have increased by 33%.
  • Overpower Damage Paragon Nodes have increased by 50%.

D4 Overpower Chance:

  • When you cast a Skill, it has a chance to Overpower all of the damage it deals.
  • Overpowers deal bonus damage based on the sum of your current Life and Fortify.
  • The bonus damage dealt scales with the Skill that Overpowered.
  • Damage over time, passive abilities, and Channeled Skills cannot Overpower.
  • Your chance to Overpower cannot increase as a basic stat, but they can be guaranteed by specific effects.

Overpower Damage

For example, Overpower Damage Bonus: 54.5%.

  • Extra damage granted to Skills when they Overpower.
  • Stacks with the bonus damage inherently granted to Overpowers bases on your current Life and Fortify.
  • The bonus damage dealt scales with the Skill that Overpowered.
  • Has a base value of 50.0%.
  • Capped at 150% against other Players.
