Diablo 4 Renown System

Renown is a gameplay system in Diablo IV. Each zone has associated renown that the player can earn.

Renown D4

Players can learn up to five levels of renown in each of the game’s major areas. Completing a level gives a player a reward, such as gold, skill points, extra health potion charges, etc. Some rewards are account-wide. Renown persists between the player’s characters. Renown can be earned by discovering Altars of Lilith, waypoints, clearing strongholds, completing side quests, and dungeons.

Renown System Rewards

Renown milestones exist for each region in the world. Reaching these can grant bonuses claimable by each hero and rewards that unlock for all heroes on the account. If you decide to play additional characters, these account-wide rewards are great for accelerating the leveling of an alt.

Diablo 4 Renown System

  • Collect Renown points in each zone to complete the 5 reward stages by collecting Waypoints, discovering new sub-zones, finding Altars of Lilith, or completing Strongholds, Side Quests, and Dungeons.
  • The system gives a global Skill Point and Paragon Point bonus to all characters on your account.
  • Each Character starts with 0 points in all zones. Complete their progress to gain large boosts in experience.
  • Skip cellars and Events if you’re trying to complete the Renown stages as quickly as possible.

Tips & Tricks

  • Focus on completing stages 1-4 early as they are fast and grant a lot of extra power.
  • Find the route that combines as many objectives as possible:
    • Complete Dungeons that award Aspects for the Codex of Power that help boost your Character’s power.
    • Clear the 3 Strongholds in each Zone.
    • Find short Side Quests and complete them. If you enter a dungeon for a Side Quest objective, complete it to gain the additional Points.
    • Collect all Altars of Lilith.
  • Do not enter cellars as they don’t grant any points.
  • Events don’t contribute to Renown, so you can skip them.

Seasonal Reset

Altars of Lilith - Renown will be reset on a seasonal basis, however the stat gains will not be reset.
