This will become a Rupture Barb's best friend. While using Fields of Crimson, damaging at least one enemy with Rupture creates a blood pool that DoTs enemies standing in it, taking extra Bleeding damage as well.
Like most other Barbarian skill-based items, it adds +2 ranks to the key ability, Rupture . It also reduces Rupture's cooldown, adds increased Damage over Time damage, and increased damage with 2-handed weapons (which this happens to be).
It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.
You can wear multiple different unique items and gain each of their benefits.
Direct damage includes all damage dealt to enemies that is not from damage over time effects. Only direct damage can Critically Strike, Damage over Time cannot. Each hit has a random chance to be a Critical Strike. This chance is equal to your Critical Strike Chance (CSC) stat, which can be increased in many different ways.
