    Penitent Greaves have a ton to offer players looking to increase Chill effects -- and the good news is that you don't need to have any special Chilled skills to use these boots. The Unique feature of these boots is that they both Chill on their own and give extra damage to Chilled enemies. Although players who use a lot of Chill for their builds will love them even more for the extra Chill damage, anyone can benefit. These also give extra Crowd Control Duration, extending that Chill effect even longer.

    It also offers some nice defensives, such as reducing the time you're affected by Slow while increasing your Movement speed and adding to your Cold Resistance.

    It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.

    Reduces the duration of incoming Slows.

    Cold Resistance

    Cold is one of the types of Elemental Damage. Cold Resistance reduces incoming Cold damage by X%.For example, Cold Resistance: 5.0%.

    • Reduces incoming Cold damage by 2.5%.
    • Makes up 50% of your initial damage reduceion from Cold, with the remainder contribued by Armor.
    • As this stat increases, additional bonuses become less effective.

    Crowd Control Duration

    • Increases the duration of your outgoing Crowd Control effects, excluding Knockback.
    • These effects include Slow, Immobilize, Stun, Knockdown, Taunt, Fear, Tether, Daze, Chill, and Freeze.

    This stat can roll on Amulet and Focus (Sorcerer only). It increases the duration of all Crowd Control effects that you can apply to enemies. These effects include Slow, Chill, Daze, Stun, Freeze, Immobilize, Taunt, and Knock Down.

    Damage to Chilled enemies

    • Increases damage dealt to Chilled enemies.
    • After fully Staggering a Boss, they are considered affected by all Crowd Control types, including Chill, for the Staggered duration.
    • You have +{#} of this stat from items and Paragon.
    Chilled enemies have reduced Movement Speed. Repeatedly Chilling an enemy will Freeze it.
