Diablo 4 Season Journey

Season Journey is a feature of Diablo 4.

Progressing Through the Season Journey and Earning Rewards

If Seasons are the night’s sky, then the Season Journey is the North Star, your guiding light. Players can look to the Season Journey for details on the new content available to them. The Season Journey will be invaluable in helping you quickly level-up your Battle Pass, as this is done through completing Chapters that are comprised of Objectives. Completing all Objectives in a Chapter will score you Seasonal rewards, such as useful Crafting Materials and Legendary Aspects for your Codex of Power.

Each objective also rewards an amount of Favor, the resource used to level up through the Tiers of the Battle Pass. Favor can also be obtained from completing quests, slaying monsters, participating in events, and more.

Season Journey D4

Alongside our major season releases, we see the return of the Season Journey. Players are pushed to explore Sanctuary anew, earning limited-time rewards with each chapter of the Season Journey that is completed. Completing the Season Journey is quite a feat, with the final step demanding the character overcome an extremely difficult encounter with an especially deadly foe. With future Season Journeys, we are regularly adding pinnacle-level difficulty challenges for players to complete, proving their worth and earning unique cosmetic rewards besides.

Like Diablo III, the Season Journey is free for all players. Completing Season Journey objectives also grants progress toward the Battle Pass, a new feature with a battle pass-style progression that advances alongside the Season Journey, enabling players to earn even more rewards just by playing. The Battle Pass has both free rewards (cosmetics, premium currency, and gameplay boosts) and paid rewards (cosmetics and premium currency only).

The Season Journey accelerates Battle Pass progression. While any play style can progress through the Battle Pass, min-maxers can focus on Season Journey objectives to advance more quickly.

Diablo IV

The Season Journey returns in Diablo IV.

The Season Journey is divided into a number of chapters, with players earning limited-time rewards of each chapter of the journey that's completed. The last chapter is the hardest.

The Season Journey is free for all players. Completing Season Journey objectives also grants progress toward the Season Pass.

Diablo 4 Season Journey interface

Diablo III

Season Journey is an enhanced Achievement tracker that is only available to Seasonal players and is shared account-wide. This feature was added in Patch 2.3 during Season four.

Background

The Season Journey was added as a means of tracking player progress. It acts as a guide on how players should progress throughout the Season. The Journey is divided into chapters, which include major milestones that are achievable by most players, and tiers, which are designed for advanced players.

Completing chapters unlocks new portrait frame rewards, and the final chapter includes challenges which will take effort to achieve for even the most powerful characters. A new chapter is unlocked after the completion of all previous chapters. Chapter quests are designed to be immediately accessible, so completing a task before actually unlocking it does count towards its completion once the chapter is finally available.

Each chapter is progressively more difficult, featuring tasks from no-brainers such as leveling artisans, socketing items, and reaching certain character level, to challenges such as beating a Nephalem Rift on Torment IX difficulty in under 4 minutes, beating solo Greater Rift rank 60, killing Greed on T10, or extracting 100 legendary powers via Kanai's Cube. There are a total of 9 chapters (Season 5), each giving progressively better rewards, including non-combat pet, full class set, and an additional stash tab (for Chapter VIII). Beginning with Season 5, players receive Haedrig's Gift as a reward for completing Chapter IV of the Season Journey.

Chapter Rewards

There are a total of nine chapters in the Season Journey. Each successive chapter is more difficult than the previous ones. After completing chapter IV, the player will receive the cosmetic rewards for the Season.
