Crafting is a feature of Diablo 4 and there are numerous different crafting materials in the game. Crafting materials include plants, skins, salvaged materials, monster parts.
Crafting: In Diablo IV, we’re trying to emphasize item modification. We want players to find items in the world and consider the potential they hold. Players can reroll bonuses, increase the power of items, exchange Legendary bonuses, and add gem sockets to items.
These vendors can be found in major towns and also In Strongholds once they have been liberated.

| Blacksmith | Upgrade your gear, salvage unwanted gear, and repair your items.
Expanding on those functions, the Blacksmith will also be able to craft armor and weapons – between this function and upgrading gear, the Blacksmith will be a vendor that players return to again and again. Since Armor and Weapon Damage are both key stats in Diablo IV, making sure your gear is in peak condition has never been more important! |
| Jeweler | Craft Gem upgrades and socket them into your gear for a powerful stat increase.
Gems and jewelry return with the Jeweler in Diablo IV, allowing you to augment your gear with additional bonuses. Crafting and unsocketing gems and jewelry, upgrading jewelry, and even adding sockets to gear are part of the Jeweler’s arsenal, making them a crucial crafter to have at your side while facing down Lilith and her armies. |
| Occultist | Enchanting gear to change the stat rolls and craft Sigils which are required to open Nightmare Dungeons. In addition, you can imprint Legendary Aspects onto rare/legendary gear to customize your build with powerful effects. |
| Purveyor of Curiosities | Gambling. Spend your Obols at this vendor to receive randomly rolled items for a chance at the best gear in the game!
The Purveyor of Curiosities is the gambling vendor in Diablo 4 and can be found in major towns This vendor utilises its own currency to gamble called Murmuring Obols. The Murmuring Obols can be acquired from completing events and cleansing shrined and cursed chests in dungeons. Players can choose a specific item slot and gamble for a randomised unidentified item in that chosen slot. |
| Stable | The Stable is where players can customise their mount and likely also purchase new mounts. It is thought you will need to complete the campaign to utilise the stable. |

All of these Vendors are found in the main city of Kyovashad, but some additional Vendors may be found in the outlying villages and encampments you may encounter on your journey.
As you come across Gems in your adventures, you can take them to the Jeweler to craft stronger versions. This requires 3 of the lower tier and a small Gold cost to create 1 Gem of the next tier. Upgrading your Gems will increase the stats they grant depending on the gear-slot you socket them into. To craft a higher level Gem, it requires 3 of the lower tier and a Gold cost investment. Doing so increases the base stats the Gem gives when socketed into a piece of gear.
