Each class comes with a unique dismount ability, which the player can activate. Players who get hit by an enemy will be dismounted automatically and will not be able to activate their dismount ability.

All character classes have special dismounting attacks that allow them to perform a special offensive action the very moment they leap off their mounts. If a monster attacks the mount, the player is forced to dismount.
Blizzard wants players to able to charge directly into battle from a mount. Abilities activated on dismount bring that effect to life. It’s not known at this stage whether that will be an effective tactic. Firing off a single ability will automatically dismount you.
A Barbarian leaping off his mount with his weapon high above his head and pounding it on the ground, causing mass devestation to the surrounding monsters. Some monsters are severed in half and splattered.
The Druid turns into its werebear form while dismounting, smashing enemies with its bear claws/paws when it lands. This state seems to be short-lived, but the Druid can do a lot of damage while in it.
Upon jumping off her horse, the Sorceress turns into a ball of ice and hurtles towards the monsters on the battlefield, freezing and knocking them over. A wide path of ice and cold sets in around the monsters.
As the Rogue dismounts, she aims her bow into the sky and down rains dozens of arrows onto the monsters in the battlefield in front of her, many of them dying.
