Combo Points are a mighty tool to enhance any Core Skill. Especially in the slow-paced early game without many tools to recover Energy effectively, Basic Skills make up a large portion of your attacks anyway. By using both types of skills in conjunction you can build up to 3 Combo Points to unleash a more powerful Core Skill with no extra cost. It also allows extra synergies for big nukes, for example by stacking 3 Combo Points before entering Concealment and attacking with a guaranteed Critical Strike.

Combo Points are built up by using Basic Skills. Each Basic Skill generates one Combo Point per use, up to a maximum of three Combo Points. Once you have built up three Combo Points, you can use a Core Skill to unleash a devastating attack that deals extra damage and has additional effects.

The Rogue has the option to choose 1 out of 3 Specializations. These can be swapped freely at any time and open up further build customization options. The three options are:
The Rogue has three different specializations: Combo Points, Exploit Weakness, and Shadow Realm. Each one is tied to a world-Rogue group and requires accomplishing a Rogue-specific quest to unlock. These three groups include the remnants of the Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye, the mercenaries of Kehjistan, and the outlaw smugglers of Hawezar.
The combo points work based on skill. An attack adds one point, to a maximum of three.
Using a spender skill expends all combo points. The number of points spent increases the effectiveness of the spender skill used.
