Andariel's VisageUnique Helm 725 Item Power 906 Armor Flavour Text: The horrific whispers of the Maiden of Anguish flicker through your mind, pushing you ever closer to madness... Requires Level 85 |
It drops from the following bosses:
Veterans of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 will find the return of this old friend a welcome one, especially since one of the major downsides of previous incarnations has been removed: Andariel's Visage no longer causes you to take more Fire damage. In Diablo 2, this item reduced your Fire Resistance by 30%, and in Diablo 3, it would increase the damage you took from Fire attacks by 5-10%. The makers of Andariel's Visage apparently worked out the bugs, because in Diablo 4 it no longer makes you more susceptible to fire.
In addition to the hefty Poison Nova chance on lucky hit, this helm also offers life steal, extra attack speed, poison resistance, and an across-the-board stat increase.
All of the poison, none of the burns. It's a win.
It can be found in World Tier 3: Nightmare and even more can be found in World Tier 4: Torment.
You can wear multiple different unique items and gain each of their benefits.
Life Steal is a frequently encountered trait on items (generally weapons). It allows the user to replenish their Life with damage dealt against the enemy.
The steal comes from how much damage you do to the monster. So 5% Life Stolen will return 5% of the damage that you do to a monster to your health as life, adjusted by the amount of Drain Effectiveness the monster has.
There are several magical suffixes that enable Life Steal, so the effect may occasionally be found on Magic and Rare Items.
When you gain a level, you’ll receive points to spend in Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity, or Willpower, along with your skill points. With each Level, you gain Base Life and Core Stats. Each Level until Level 50 grants a Skill Point. Afterwards, each quarter of a Level grants a Paragon Point.
The Attack Speed of a weapon is an item attribute that determines how fast the hero can attack. The faster one can attack, the less time it takes to get a swing in, leading to increased damage per second because of more hits in a shorter amount of time.
