Hero Traits define a hero’s combat style. You may select different branches once you meet the level requirements. Click on the icon of a Hero Trait to activate its special ability.
Hero Relics are items that can be equipped, one per character. Heroic Relics feature two Random Affixes that provide buffs closely related to Hero Specialization.

I. What are hero traits?
1. Hero traits are unique abilities of each hero, which determine the hero's initial appearance and overall fighting style.
2. When creating a character, you will need to select a hero and hero traits. Hero traits cannot be changed later.
3. You will need to create a new character to change their hero traits.
—For example, Frostfire currently has 2 hero traits: Ice-Fire Fusion and Frostbitten Heart. The fighting styles of the two hero traits are completely different. Ice-Fire Fusion allows the hero to use both Cold and Fire skills, but Frostbitten Heart only buffs Cold skills.
II. How to obtain hero traits?
1. There are currently 9 hero traits in S1, namely: Rehan: Anger, Carino: Ranger of Glory, Carino: Lethal Flash, Gemma: Ice-Fire Fusion, Gemma: Frostbitten Heart, Youga: Spacetime Illusion, Youga: Spacetime Elapse, Moto: Order Calling, Thea: Wisdom of The Gods.
2. Free hero traits that players can choose when creating a character on a new account are: Rehan: Anger, Carino: Ranger of Glory, Gemma: Ice-Fire Fusion, Youga: Spacetime Illusion, and Moto: Order Calling.
3. Hero traits that can be obtained by purchasing are: Carino: Lethal Flash and Gemma: Frostbitten Heart.
4. Hero trait that can be obtained from in-game achievements is: Youga: Spacetime Elapse.
5. Hero trait that can be obtained by Purchasing the S1 Season Guide is: Thea: Wisdom of The Gods.
6. Hero traits will not be removed and reset at the end of each season and can be used permanently after they are obtained.
Berserker uses a new resource called Rage.
Berserker gains Rage when using melee attack skills and taking damage.
Rage is initially capped at 100. For every 5 Rage, Berserker gains 1% Attack Speed.
After reaching the maximum amount of Rage, Berserker automatically enters a Berserk state and gains a buff that grants him double his maximum Rage, which is equivalent to 200 Rage. This mechanic applies to other "XXX per Rage owned" affixes. When in a Berserk state, using melee attack skills consumes Rage until all Rage has been used up.
Divineshot uses ammo to use Projectile Skills. When ammo is used, the damage of the Projectile Skill will be increased.
Projectile Skills can't be used or triggered when there is no ammo, and ammo will be automatically reloaded. Players can tap the hero skill to manually reload when the ammo is not full.

The Lethal Flash trait increases damage by 20% within 2 seconds of reloading.
Frostfire gains Fire Energy when using or triggering Fire Skills, and each point of Fire Energy increases Fire Damage. The same applies when using Cold Skills. When gaining Fire or Cold Energy, the other type of energy is lost.
Fire or Cold Energy is initially capped at 3. When reaching the maximum amount, Fire Pulse or Cold Pulse is triggered to deal damage to nearby enemies. All energy is lost after this.

Oracle gains 1 blessing every 2 seconds (Blessings are a special buff in Torchlight: Infinite. Examples of blessings are the Focus Blessing, which increases the chance of dealing double damage, the Agility Blessing, which increases Attack, Cast Speed, and Movement Speed, and the Tenacity Blessing, which reduces the damage taken).
Tap the hero skill (Gauge) to make Oracle cast Divine Punishment on the nearest enemy with a 9-second cooldown. Divine Punishment deals Spell Physical Damage and consumes all blessings of Oracle.
Oracle gains the following effects according to the blessings consumed:
Increases all damage dealt by Oracle in the next 4 seconds according to the number of stacks of any blessing consumed.
Increases the range of this Divine Punishment according to the number of stacks of Focus Blessing consumed.
Additionally increases the Cooldown Recovery Speed of Divine Punishment according to the number of stacks of Agility Blessing consumed. Additionally increases the damage of the next Main Skill according to the number of stacks of Tenacity Blessing consumed.
When the Commander uses any Summon Skills, all minions of the Commander will gain Overload for 4 seconds. Cooldown: 9 seconds.
Overload is an exclusive Commander buff that increases the Attack and Cast Speed of minions by 35%, as well as their chance of dealing double damage by 20%.
Hero Traits
The Hero trait system is a well-worth sharing design.
Unlike the traditional class or job system adopted by other ARPGs, Torchlight: Infinite uses the hero system to differentiate each player’s focus. For example, the melee specialist Berserker Rehan, the master of frost and fire Gemma, the illusion summoner Youga, the master commander of minions Moto, the projectile expert Carino, and the Blessing user Thea who's about to be released... We completed the design of 6 heroes for now, and more heroes will be added to Torchlight: Infinite at a later date, bringing brand new experiences and battle styles to you.
It's the same for hero traits. The original plan was to design 3 hero traits for each hero, take Gemma as an example, the design of her 3 traits focuses on frost, fire, and a fusion of both, while each trait will have the same appearance in our original design.
However, we have expanded on that. Hero traits are now considered as taking the hero in a different direction. For example, Gemma's recently completed trait, Frostbitten Heart, comes with a complete background story and a brand new appearance.
——The fire energy in Gemma's mechanical arm is gradually drying up, so she finally responds to the calls of Zoya within her and starts her slow journey to the Arctic Land. Endless frost assaults Gemma. Zoya merges all her powers of frost into Gemma's soul to save her life, while Zoya's own soul perishes. Crystals of ice form around Gemma as she abandons the energy of fire in the Frostbitten Heart state. She gains greater proficiency in Cold Skills, and her battle style is completely different from her previous Ice-Fire Fusion state.
In terms of both the time and the effort spent on designing each new hero trait, we now treat them as brand new heroes. Therefore, these hero traits which represent brand new play styles and gaming experiences will be added to the game in the form of paid content.
We are also aware that our players do not endorse with obtaining hero traits through gacha system. Our discussions led to the following decisions:
● All future new heroes, in other words, their first hero traits will be directly unlocked via purchasing the Season Pass.
● The other hero traits like Gemma's Frostbitten Heart and Carino's Lethal Flash will be available for direct purchase.
● In addition, we will increase the avenues available to obtain hero traits for free. Other hero traits can also be unlocked by accumulating in-game resources or accomplishing certain achievements like Youga's 2nd hero trait, Spacetime Elapse.
These adjustments will bring stable and direct avenues to obtain hero traits. Furthermore, we will be adding a free trial function in our future plans, in which our players will be able to experience the combat style that comes with the new hero trait for a limited time before deciding if you would like to purchase it.
