Core Gear:

  Lens of the Mage’s Assistant: Converts extra Spell damage into extra Attack damage. Damage can be further increased by increasing Spell damage.

The Projectile Speed affix of this gear can also be used with the Marksman talent to deal even higher damage.

  Gear Selection

  Necklace: Requires +1 minimum channeled stacks and 3 types of Ailment damage (Ignite, Wilt, Bleed)

Ice Whirlwind requires gear that converts Physical damage into Cold damage, such as Frozen Will, Arctic Ring.

  For shoes, Grace boots can be used to get Blessing.

  Consider attack speed and cast speed for other gear.

 

  After that, increase survivability

  Whirlwind: Guard – Cold Piercing – Freeze Chance – Channel Preparation – Ailment Termination

  Bull’s Rage: Deathwill – Soul Focus – Mania – Mass Effect

  Bloodthirst: Cost Conversion – Mania

  Death Pact: Ice Bond – Seal Conversion – Mana Boil – Souleating Circle

  Cast while Channeling: Fixate – Blizzard – Thunderlight Field

Curse on hit: Biting Cold – Frigid Domain – Ice Imbue

  Talent Selection:

Goddess of Knowledge – Spiritcaller – Warlock (flexible; choose talents based on your own situation)

Direction of development:

For your weapon, I suggest crafting a hammer with high DPS and attack speed and main skill level +3

For your belt, I suggest using the Infinity and highly recommend the Versatile affix

Frozen will can be replaced with gloves that you craft, but you will need affixes that convert Physical damage into Cold damage. You will also need to craft it with an affix that increases Spell damage when Energy Shield is not full.
