Before Season 3: How To Play With Friends

The short answer is: currently, you cannot play with friends in Torchlight Infinite.

Here’s where things take a bit of a downward turn: you can’t play with your friends at launch. Developer XD Entertainment has confirmed that this feature is coming, but won’t arrive as part of season one.

So, in effect, that means that Torchlight Infinite is a single player game at launch. It features a story mode that takes about ten hours to beat, as well as endlessly replayable dungeons.

However, it might be worth playing through the game on your lonesome as you prepare for multiplayer to eventually arrive down the line.

The good news for you is that it won’t be a single-player game forever!

A developer of Torchlight Infinite have confirmed in the Steam community that they ARE working on a co-op feature in the game that will be added in upcoming seasons. However, there won’t be any multiplayer features in Season 1.
