Torchlight Infinite Fast Leveling Guide

Here's a guide to leveling efficiently in Torchlight Infinite, combining best practices and strategic insights:

Focus on the Main Story:

  • Prioritize completing the main story quests for significant experience rewards and steady progression.
  • Follow the quest markers on your mini-map to stay on track.

Clear Maps Thoroughly:

  • Defeat as many enemies as possible in each area to maximize experience gains.
  • Explore side paths and hidden corners for extra monster packs and potential loot.
  • Use area-of-effect skills to clear groups efficiently.

Prioritize Elite and Champion Enemies:

  • These tougher foes grant significantly more experience than regular enemies.
  • Seek them out whenever possible for a substantial boost.

Reset Areas for Fast Experience:

  • After clearing a zone, you can reset it to respawn enemies and farm for more experience.
  • This is often more efficient than moving to a new zone, especially for areas with high enemy density.

Utilize Zone Buffs:

  • Some zones offer temporary buffs that increase experience gains.
  • Activate these buffs whenever available to maximize your leveling speed.

Equip Experience-Boosting Gear:

  • Keep an eye out for items that grant bonus experience as a secondary stat.
  • Use these items to accelerate your progress further.

Complete Daily and Weekly Challenges:

  • These activities offer experience rewards as part of their completion, providing additional sources of leveling progress.

Engage in Events and Activities:

  • Limited-time events and special activities often feature experience bonuses or enhanced leveling opportunities.
  • Participate in these when available to take advantage of the extra gains.

General Tips:

  • Play on a higher difficulty (if comfortable): Higher difficulty levels offer increased experience rewards, but also pose greater challenges.
  • Group up with friends: Playing in a party can make clearing content faster and more efficient, leading to quicker leveling.
  • Take advantage of Rested Experience: When you log out in a safe zone, you accumulate Rested Experience, which grants a temporary boost to experience gains upon logging back in.
  • Upgrade your Gear: Regularly upgrading your gear helps you defeat enemies more quickly, leading to faster zone clears and overall experience gains.

Remember:

  • Enjoy the journey: Don't get too focused on rushing to the endgame. Take time to explore, experiment with different builds, and enjoy the world of Torchlight Infinite.
  • Tailor strategies to your playstyle: Find the leveling methods that best suit your preferred pace and approach to the game.

Fast Leveling: Complete the Main Quests

Clearing the main story quests is one of the best things you can do to level up quickly in Torchlight Infinite. The quests can be seen on the screen’s left side, and players must tick all of them off if they want to unlock more content from the game. For the players that are having a hard time navigating where to go to complete them, they can tap on the quests—this will show the exact spot they can clear it.

Main Storyline is Best for Leveling – In general, following the main storyline quest is the easiest and most efficient way to level. Killing the majority of enemies in-between story objective points ensures you gain as much experience in the least amount of time. Be sure to stay within 3 levels of the zone you’re in for maximum experience gains.

Buy Torchlight Infinite Currency

Fast Leveling: Use Pets

Note that the pet system in Torchlight Infinite is an option (meaning players will have to pay for it), but should the buyer have it available, why not take advantage of the situation? Pets make the game significantly easier to get through. Getting pets requires players to tinker with the Boon system and spend Primocryst, Torchlight Infinite’s premium currency. Primocrysts can be acquired through battle pass rewards or completing weeklies.

Gameplay Basics

  • Quests are displayed in the left display menu and update as you meet certain objectives. The main storyline quest and side quests are properly labeled, so you’re never confused on which you are doing.
  • Follow the golden diamonds from objective to objective. If you ever lose sight of them, left-click on any quest in the left display menu to make them appear for a short duration.
  • Sub systems you unlock throughout your play are accessible through the top-right menu, indicated by the Torchlight flame icon.
  • Level up bonuses to Skills, Talents, etc. are displayed in a separate plus icon, in the top-right of the screen. Check this regularly as you level up; there’s always many points to distribute.
  • Buying your skills from the skill vendor gives you level appropriate skills. Use these instead of the ones rewarded from quests.
  • Gear and character information can be viewed by clicking on the bag icon in the top-right, or using “B” on your keyboard.
  • You can lock all things in your bag by selecting what you want to keep, then clicking the lock button on the top corner of the selected item. Be sure to use this on valuable gear so you don’t accidentally destroy or vendor them.
  • When selling gear to Edwin use the REDEEM ALL button instead of loading gear in one at a time. Be sure to make sure you have all the gear you want to keep locked.
  • Side quests are 100% optional and do not provide many rewards.

Fast Leveling Tips

  • Follow the golden diamonds by clicking any quest if you ever get lost.
  • Stick to the main storyline quest to get through the chapters as quickly as possible.
  • Every few zones, inspect gear you pick up to swap out for possible upgrades. Green values for Damage and Survival indicators help you out the most.
  • Select Talents that work the best with your Hero and the Skills/Support Skills you have chosen. Don’t forget that there are Minor, Medium, and Major Nodes.
  • Customize your Skills & Passives by adding Support Skills to them and move Energy around to open more possibilities.
  • Make sure to select the best Hero Trait choices that support your build when unlocked.

Q:The current leveling system from 97 onwards is really off putting. Players are severely punished for taking risk, a death -10% just wasted many hours of their grind. This forces players to self impose punishment of not doing any endgame contents or just grind T7 maps brainlessly. Any plan to make leveling more fun?
A:The current leveling system will not be adjusted for now. In fact, reaching level 97 or 100 won't significantly affect your endgame experience or act as a threshold to challenge higher difficulties.
