Freezing Pulse is an active skill gem.

An icy projectile which has a chance to freeze enemies it passes through. The projectile fades quickly, reducing damage and freezing chance until it dissipates.

When I use Freezing Pulse linked with spell echo and have the Trickster node Weave the Arcane which gives me "20% chance to Recover Mana on Skill use" will that chance roll once per spell echo or twice?

You only used the skill once, and it repeated. It rolls once per skill use.

Freezing Pulse is a spell skill which launches a dissipating projectile that deals cold damage and pierces all targes. The projectile has an extra chance to freeze which is lost over a short distance.

Skill functions and interactions

Fork and Chain: Freezing Pulse projectiles will always pierce, and therefore can never fork or chain.
- However, if Divergent Freezing Pulse is used, the skill becomes unable to pierce, allowing it to benefit from Chain and Fork.
- Snakepit unique ring prevents Freezing Pulse from piercing and causes it to either Chain or Fork depending on ring placement.

Chance to freeze: The Freezing Pulse projectile inherently has a 25% chance to freeze when created. The extra chance to freeze decreases in a linear fashion over a quarter of the projectile's lifetime until it becomes 0%. This does not affect other sources of freeze chance, such as critical strikes.

Projectile speed: The projectiles move at an average speed of approximately 165 units/sec, for 0.375 seconds, making their effective range at approximately 60 units. Modifiers to projectile speed cause the projectiles to travel farther before they dissipate, effectively increasing their range. Freezing Pulse modified by projectile speed will cause more damage and have a better chance to freeze at every point along its trajectory than a slower Freezing Pulse projectile would, because the chance to freeze is based on the lifetime elapsed of the projectiles (and not distance traveled). Thus, a faster projectile has had less time to dissipate and has a longer maximum range and therefore a higher chance to freeze than a slower projectile. This is true at all points along the projectile's path, while the chance to freeze is greater than zero.
