Bladestorm - Path of Exile

Bladestorm is an active skill gem.

Perform a spinning attack, damaging enemies around you and creating a bladestorm matching your stance. The bladestorm repeatedly damages enemies, based on your weapon damage and attack time, for a duration. Blood bladestorms are stationary and cause Bleeding, while Sand bladestorms move slowly forwards and Blind enemies. Requires a Sword or Axe. You are in Blood Stance by default.

Attack, AoE, Duration, Melee. Level: 1–20. Cost: 8 Mana. Attack Speed: 70% of base. Attack Damage: 105–150% of base. Effectiveness of Added Damage: 105–150%. Requires Level 28.

Base duration is 3 seconds

Bladestorm is a melee attack skill that creates a bladestorm that continuously deals damage in an area for a short duration.

Skill functions and interactions

This skill interacts with Blood and Sand Stance:

In Blood Stance, the bladestorm will be stationary and grants the user more attack speed and bleeding damage while standing in it.
In Sand Stance, the bladestorm will travel forward and grant the user increased movement speed while standing in it.

The blood/sand storms created by Bladestorm can trigger Cast On Critical Strike Support.
