Flame Surge - Path of Exile

Flame Surge is an active skill gem.

Strikes enemies in front of you with a surge of flame. Burning enemies are dealt more damage. If you hit an ignited enemy, will create burning ground under them. Your damage modifiers don"t apply to this burning ground.

Spell, AoE, Fire, Duration. Level: 1–20. Cost: 6–16 Mana. Cast Time: 0.50 sec. Critical Strike Chance: 6.00%. Effectiveness of Added Damage: 190%. Radius: 30. Requires Level 12.

Deals (26–832) to (40–1247) Fire Damage
Base duration is 4 seconds
(50–88)% more Damage with Hits against Burning enemies
Cannot Ignite
+(0–9) to Area of Effect length
Hits on Ignited Enemies create Burning Ground, no more than once every 2 seconds
Burning Ground deals 25% of Fire Damage per second of Ignite affecting Enemy

Flame Surge is a spell that deals fire damage in a narrow area of effect in front of the caster. It deals more damage against burning enemies.

Skill functions and interactions

Area of Effect: Flame Surge fires a wave of flame in a very narrow cone, increasing the area of effect radius will increase the effective range of the skill.

Damage Bonus: All sources of burning enable the damage bonus. These include ignite, burning ground, Herald of Ash, Searing Bond, Infernal Legion Support, Righteous Fire, and Scorching Ray.

Item acquisition

Flame Surge can drop anywhere. Drop level: 12.
