Throne and Liberty Events — TL

Regional events are sudden events that completely change the content of a specific region for a short period of time. For example, the wolf hunting tournament is an event in the early leveling area, a ranking competition event that borrows the tournament format, and PvP is also possible. The number of wolf tails is displayed above the head, and when you die, all tails you have are dropped, so PvP naturally occurs. There are 3 tail return locations at first, but as time goes on, they gradually decrease, so you have to choose whether to collect as many tails as possible and deliver them gradually or steadily.

Local events are triggered every 3 hours, and the schedule is displayed when you open the map in the game. On the schedule, green is for regional events, red is for bosses, and there are regional events where competitions between guilds take place.

A filler is a concept of an event triggered in an open field, and field contents such as bosses, occupation battles, and siege battles are also an extension of the event trigger concept.

Events are tied to Regional Events, such as the Wolf Tail event where players collect and turn in wolf tails and there is a leaderboard and PVP involved. World Bosses are also considered events and have PVP turned on. Guild/Occupation Wars are also an event.

Events that trigger with the schedule viewable on the world map. Some of these are PVP events and they have a leaderboard. They last approximately 20 minutes and each event occurs every 3 hours. Example given was the “wolf tails” event near the starter area.

Regional Events

Events that change the content of a specific region for a short period of time. Example: Wolf Hunting Tournament which is in the early leveling area.

  • A Ranking system is in place for these events. Example from GStar and later in the video is the Wolf Tails events where players collect wolf tails and turn in at three turn in NPCs, which later are less than 3 turn in NPCs. You can PVP and steal the wolf tails from others, so turning in is needed to be safe, but collecting more is higher risk/reward.
  • All players in the Region can participate.
  • Wolf tails in the player’s inventory are displayed above the player’s head, and player’s can PVP and take the tails if they win
  • 3 tail return locations exist, but as time goes by that number decreases. So turning in the tails reduces your risk, but holding them potentially is more efficient but riskier
  • Local events trigger every 3 hours, and the schedule is displayed on the Map.
  • The event lasts about 20 minutes
  • A filler is a concept of an event triggered in an open field, and field contents such as bosses, occupation battles, and siege battles are also an extension of the event trigger concept.

Dynamic Events

The world’s day/night cycle and dynamic weather events are said to have a massive impact on the world during a player’s playthrough. The main goal is to have the game feel like a living and breathing organism according to the developers of T&L. We can expect to see events like but not limited to:
– Rain
– Flooding
– Drought
– Day & Night
– (Extreme) Wind
– Blood moon

PvP

We do know that PVP is turned on in dungeons and open world raid bosses. We also know that PVP is enabled for certain “Regional Events” such as the Wolf Tails events.

We do not know the current status of the PK system and whether that still is in effect. The PK System is called Evil Deeds and was supposedly on during the day and off during the night, but the latest dev update mentioned a lot of safe zones and optional PVP so the PK system might be scrapped. This is one of the big remaining unknowns regarding this MMO.
