Let's also talk about TL's world. The world is the core of the game from which all other elements stem. The world, which has no boundaries, is the foundation that allows players to connect with one another. It allows for endless ways to interact.

Take for example an underground dungeon, with a separate entrance and main area. In it, there are multiple floors and spaces, but we have seamlessly connected all of these spaces together. Going directly to the lowest floor is possible. Aid can be given, or damage can be dealt to others on different floors. By connecting the interior, exterior, upper, and lower parts of the dungeon, we hope that players can share this spatial experience. Additionally, rather than just rushing through open fields, players can discover and forge their own routes through TL's varied, sometimes vertical terrain.

TL is a seamless living world and dungeons that change depending on the weather condition and surrounding environments.

Throne and Liberty Dungeons

Throne and Liberty will feature non-instanced, open-world dungeons, where players will be able to fight difficult enemies together.

The dungeon which was showcased during the recent Director’s Preview shows a multi-layered open layout, consisting of an entrance, a potential boss room in the center, and at least six vertical floors. The open space within this dungeon seems enormous.

 The producer talked about a dungeon, which can be entered immediately from the main zone of the game. It has several floors, each of which is a separate space combined into a common area. If you wish, it will be possible to immediately go down to the lower floor, to help or attack those who are already in the dungeon.

Dungeons are Open World with PVP (likely) turned on. Dungeons have multiple layers and going directly to the bottom floor of a dungeon is possible using gliding or grappling skills.

During several of the trailer and gameplay videos we’ve been teased with some interesting details about dungeons. Including the ability to freely roam the dungeon. Allowing players to skip everything straight to the final boss of the dungeon if they feel up for the challenge. There appears to be several jump puzzles and other parkour options available to manoeuvre through the dungeons several floors. Dungeons seem to have at least a main boss and several other POI’s inside of them.

PvP

We don’t know after the latest update what the actual direction is for world PVP and the Karma system as they said in the Director’s Preview that most zones are PVP safe zones, which contradicts things they have said in the past regarding the Evil Deeds PK system. It is also contradicted in the same video where they hint at PVP being on in the open world dungeons. That being said, we do know that there is a lot of PVP in TL in the form of Occupation Wars and Sieges. Sieges fight over major objectives like Castles, Occupation Wars focus on world capture points that confer benefits to the guild that owns them. PVP might be on in dungeons, world bosses, some regional events, and of course Guild and Occupation Wars, but we need further confirmation on some of the PVP elements for sure.

The most central element in THRONE AND LIBERTY is the world. In general, MMORPGs are divided into fields and dungeons, and even within dungeons, the maps are often further divided. In THRONE AND LIBERTY, however, all space is one, allowing for a seamless gaming experience from the field to the deepest depths of the underground dungeon. In between, you can help and attack other players.

Changes in the environment can cause changes in the terrain of the field and the ecology of the creatures. Predictable day and night and unpredictable weather and wind. These environmental changes add dynamism to the world and allow for a wide variety of play.

In THRONE AND LIBERTY, a player's role (class) is determined by the weapons they equip. However, the free class system, which allows players to swap between two types of weapons depending on the situation, adds diversity and strategy to combat. Experiment with different weapon and skill combinations to establish your own fighting style.
