Cluster Jewel is a kind of jewels that can be only inserted into the outermost sockets of the passive skill tree. These jewels expand the skill tree by creating new node clusters, which can contain basic nodes, notables, and even keystones. They can also create more jewel sockets to support either regular or Abyss jewels or smaller cluster jewels. You can craft a Cluster Jewel to alter its mods.

The following is a layout example of Cluster Jewel.

At first, place a Large Cluster Jewel Large Cluster Jewel (Search) in a large jewel socket(you can find it in the outermost of the passive skill tree). It adds 8–12 passive skills, can have up to 3 sockets. The socket can support either regular or Abyss jewels or Medium Cluster Jewels or Small Cluster Jewels.

In the new cluster, place a Medium Cluster Jewel (Search). It adds 4–6 passive skills, can have 1 socket. The socket supports either regular or Abyss jewels or Small Cluster Jewels.

In the second cluster, place a Small Cluster Jewel Small Cluster Jewel (Search). It adds 2–3 passive skills, can not have sockets.

Like other items, Cluster Jewel has normal, magic, rare, and unique cluster jewels. Different from other items, a rare cluster jewel can have up to 4 explicit modifiers.

It’s worth noting that the number of passive skills added by the jewel and the effect of the small nodes are both enchantments, not implicit mods. Therefore, you cannot use a Blessed Orb Blessed Orb to re-roll it.

Cluster Jewel Modifier

Also note that a rare cluster jewel can have up to 4 explicit modifiers.

The Cluster Jewel’s item level does affect the tier of mods it can roll, but only for affixes that affect the small passives and number of jewel sockets. All notable-granting affixes have no item level requirement.
