Orb of Fusing

An Orb of Fusing is a currency item that can be used to re-roll the links between sockets on a weapon or piece of armor. The color and number of sockets remain unchanged. Chromatic Orb reforges the color of sockets on an item. Jeweller’s Orb reforges the number of sockets on an item. Tainted Orb of Fusing reforges the links between sockets on a corrupted item.

2. Orb of Fusing Chances: 6 Link

Orb of Fusing reforges the links between sockets on an item. While the chance of obtaining 3 or 4 linked sockets is relatively high, the chance of obtaining 5 or 6 linked sockets is very low, and on average requires hundreds or even thousands of attempts. The chance of 6 linked is about 1500 Orbs of Fusing. The following chart is the odds of a PoE 5 link and 6 link.

2.1 Quality affects the linked chances

The item's quality increases the chances of obtaining more links. When you use an Orb of Fusing on an item, the item's quality is not consumed. Each 1% quality improves the result by 1%. This makes the Fusing process 20% easier on 20% quality items, for example.
