Close Combat Support

Close Combat Support is a support gem.

Supports melee attack skills. Cannot support skills which create minions.

Support, Melee, Attack, Duration. Level: 1–20. Cost & Reservation Multiplier: 140%. Requires Level 18.

Supported Skills deal up to (25–39)% more Melee Damage to Enemies, based on proximity
Supported Skills grant Combat Rush on Hit
Combat Rush lasts 2 seconds or until you use a Travel Skill
Combat Rush grants 20% more Attack Speed to Travel Skills not Supported by Close Combat
Supported Skills can only be used with Axes or Swords

This is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Active Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket.

Close Combat Support is a support gem which grants the supported attack more melee damage based on how close the user is to the enemy. It also grants a buff that causes the next unsupported movement skill more attack and cast speed on the next use on hit. This support gem restricts the skill to swords and axes.

Skill functions and interactions

The "up to x% more damage" stat on Close Combat support (and the matching stat on the Slayer's Impact notable) applies the full damage bonus to targets up to a distance of 15 units from you, then linearly scales down the bonus to 0 at a distance of 40 units.
