The Breachlords are five endgame bosses, located inside the five types of Breaches. Each Breachlord can be battled in its own domain, a map area only accessible by activating the corresponding Breachstone in the map device. Breachlords drop exclusive unique items. Killing them is the only way to acquire Blessings. When inside the Breachlord’s domain, the player must fight their way through a breach while a timer counts down. Killing enemies will expand the timer. If the timer reaches zero, the stage ends and the player will be unable to encounter the Breachlord.
In Path of Exile: Crucible, we’re raising the area levels of Breachstones to a much higher baseline level – 81 for elemental ones, 82 for physical and 83 for chaos. Now that the regular Breachstones are much higher level. We have retired Charged, Enriched and Pure Breachstones. They will be converted to regular ones.
How to get Flawless Breachstone
Flawless Breachstones no longer drop from Maven Invitations.
Breach Blessings can now be used to upgrade a regular Breachstone into the Flawless version of that Breachstone. Breach Blessings are now rarer as a result.
The Within Their Grasp Notable Atlas Passive no longer provides chances for Breachstones dropped by Breach Bosses in your Maps to be Charged, Enriched or Pure. Instead, it now causes Breachstones dropped by Breach Bosses in your Maps to have a 5% chance to be Flawless. It also now causes Breach Bosses Defeated in your Maps to have 4% chance to drop a Breachstone (previously 12%).
Flawless Breachstone Bosses can no longer drop Breach Blessings or un-upgraded Breach Uniques. They now have a chance to drop upgraded Breach Uniques.
Shrines can appear randomly in most areas, granting significant bonuses to nearby monsters or casts spells at nearby players, and are often guarded by monsters. Players can steal the shrine to gain its bonuses for 45 seconds or until leaving the area. Players can have any number of different shrine effects at once. This encounter is considered Extra Content and has a chance to appear in any map area or most story areas; it also has separate chances to spawn additional shrines. The specific chance for shrines to spawn has never been officially published. This mechanic is also referred to as Domination.
