Once you harvest a Tier 4 seed, the Heart of the Grove will start growing. It requires 100 cycles to grow, and the growth cycle will only advance in zone level 78 or higher. Once it finishes growing, you can fight the Avatar of the Grove.

When harvesting the seed, it will spawn the Wild Harvest boss Ersi, Mother of Thorns.

Reveal a random crafting effect that locks a random modifier on an item when Harvested.

Fracture a random modifier on an item with at least 5 modifiers, locking it in place. This can't be used on Influenced, Synthesised, or Fractured items37,58852.25%

Currently, the only way to obtain fractured items is from a Wild Thornfruit Wild Thornfruit  craft in the Harvest league, which transforms an item's base into a fractured base and locks in one of its modifiers. In the Synthesis league, fractured items could be found in memory zones, and some unique items dropped as fractured items.

Fractured Item Mechanics

  • Fractured items could have one to three permanent mods. These mods could not be removed or changed in any way.
  • Fractured items could be used in the Synthesiser with two other Rare fractured items of the same item class (Ex. gloves, thrusting swords, etc.) to create a synthesised item, which had special implicit modifiers based on the mods of the fractured items.
  • Fractured items could not be turned into unique items with an Orb of Chance. Fractured items could not drop as a Shaper or Elder item, and cannot be influenced using conqueror Exalted Orbs or Awakener Orbs. Influenced items also cannot be fractured using Harvest crafting.
  • When using an Orb of Scouring on a fractured item, it would turn into a Magic item if it had one fractured mod or a Rare item if it had two or three fractured mods. (For crafting purposes, players could create a Rare item with one fractured affix by using a Regal Orb then an Orb of Annulment).

How to grow Wild Thornfruit?

Right-click Wild Thornfruit Wild Thornfruit then left-click the ground to plant it in the Sacred Grove. Once planted and fully grown, can be Harvested by using a nearby Wild Collector.
