Summon Skitterbots Summon Skitterbots is an active skill gem.

Summon a Chilling Skitterbot and a Shocking Skitterbot, which will trigger your traps and detonate your mines. Mines detonated by Skitterbots will re-arm and can then be detonated again. The Skitterbots grant you more trap and mine damage, and cannot be targeted or damaged.

Trap, Mine, Spell, Minion, Cold, Lightning, AoE, Aura. Level: 1–20. Reservation: 35% Mana. Cooldown Time: 1.00 sec. Cast Time: Instant. AoE Radius: 30. Requires Level 16.

Summon Skitterbots is a skill which reserves mana to summon two invulnerable Skitterbot minions. The Skitterbots search for traps and mines you have laid and trigger/detonate some of them. Mines detonated by Skitterbots are re-armed to detonate a second time. One Skitterbot has an aura that chills nearby enemies and the other has an aura that shocks nearby enemies. Skitterbots grant more trap and mine damage to the owner.

Skill functions and interactions

  • Chilling & Shocking Auras
    • The Chilling Skitterbot applies a base Chill effect causing 10% reduced action speed.
    • The Shocking Skitterbot applies a base Shock effect causing 15% increased damage taken.
      • The Skitterbots' Chilling and Shocking Auras are a property of the Skitterbot minions, not the player.
        • The Chilling and Shocking auras do not benefit from modifiers affecting player Auras like Increased Effect of Non-Curse Auras or Increased Area of Effect of Non-Curse Auras.
        • The Chilling and Shocking auras do not benefit from modifiers affecting player shock/chill effect like Increased Effect of Chill, Increased Effect of Shock, or Increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments.
        • The Chilling and Shocking auras will benefit from modifiers such as Increased Effect of Chill, Increased Effect of Shock, or Increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments that are applied to the Skitterbot minions with support gems such as Unbound Ailments Support or Bonechill Support, with the downside of increasing the skill's reservation.
      • Summon Skitterbots' inherent Minions have (0-19)% increased Chill Effect or Minions have (0-19)% increased Shock Effect will increase the effect of the Skitterbots' Chilling and Shocking auras.
    • The base aura radius is 30 units.
  • The Chill and Shock effects of this skill makes Summon Skitterbots a versatile defensive/offensive option for many builds, not just mine/trap-focused builds.
  • Even though the Skitterbots are invulnerable, they deal damage over time to nearby monsters when supported by Infernal Legion Support.
  • Each Skitterbot has a 3 second cooldown on their mine activation.
  • Skitterbots cannot be summoned while wearing The Primordial Chain due to the "You cannot have non-Golem Minions" modifier.
  • The skill itself is not an Aura, even though it has an Aura Gem tag and reserves mana. Therefore, this skill does not count towards the number of Auras a player has. This is especially useful for builds that utilize mechanics that limit the number of Auras a player can have.
