Strategy

Mantra of Flames gains power by stacking buffs. Many sources of buffs, like auras quickly become prohibitive to stack due to Mana Reservation, but there are several buffs that instead cost a single gem socket or item slot instead.

Skill gems:

  • Auras - Clarity, Vitality, and Precision cost a flat amount of mana instead of a percentage, so level 1 of these gems can be used even if their intended buffs are not particularly useful.
  • Heralds
  • Golems
  • Warcrys buffs
  • Guard Skills
  • Blood Rage
  • Tempest Shield
  • Rejuvenation Totem

Several skill gem buffs can be linked to Cast when Damage Taken Support or Cast when Stunned Support to automate casting them. In addition, temporary buffs such as Guard Skills can be used in conjunction with Increased Duration Support.

Conditionally Acquired:

  • Boneshatter — Each trauma stack provides a separate buff.
  • Fortification — Each fortifying hit (and Champion's Fortitude node) provide a separate buff. The number of fortification buffs is limited by fortification's inherent "only gain Fortification stacks from one hit every 0.1 seconds" and its duration.
  • Onslaught
  • Shrines
