How to get Elder’s Orb

The item level is 84. It is a quest item. The player is rewarded with Elder’s Orb after collecting all of the Shaper’s Memory Fragments and slaying the Shaper.

How to get the Memory Fragments?

Fragments 1-5

You spawn Elder in yellow Maps and just progress through them. (Map-Tiers 6-10)
Maps that give a Memory Fragment will say so when you mouse over them and also have a blue circle around them.
To get a Memory Fragment from a Map, it has to be covered in Elder.

No real strategy needed, just pull the Elder where you want by clearing Shaper Maps adjacent to the Elder “weather”.

Fragments 6-10

You can probably do this on the same Elder and just pull the “weather” through yellow maps all the way up to Red Maps. (Map-Tiers 11-15)

Fragments 11-13

Get a little trickier, because not only do the Maps have to be covered by the Elder, but also possessed by an Elder Guardian or the Elder himself.
RIGHT AFTER you do 1-10, you want to do any Red Maps you have, which will mean the new Elder will spawn somewhere around red Maps. (When there is no Elder on your Atlas, the game will look at what maps you are doing to determine where the best Map-Tier to start Elder would be)
Now you stretch the Elder out again (Once again, by doing adjacent Shaper maps) and hope the Elder Guardians and Elder spawn on the right Tier of Maps.
For Fragments 11-13, you need a T13, a T14 and a T15 map respectively.

Fragments 14-15

you have to have the Elder himself (NOT his guardians, only the Elder himself) inhabit a T14 and then a T15 Map (If you have a T15 first, you will have to get another T15 though)

Where is Memory Fragments?

Memory Fragments are part of the quest The Memory Eater.

Players acquire Shaper’s Orbs by collecting Memory Fragments and giving them to Zana. Memory Fragments are found by killing the bosses of Elder-influenced maps circled in purple on the Atlas. To acquire the final five Memory Fragments, you must defeat the four Elder Guardians with the Elder occupying a red-tier map, then defeat the Elder.

• The more common memory fragment is always given first, e.g. completing a T13 map with an Elder Guardian before completing a T13 Elder-influenced map will drop fragment 8 (VIII) instead of the Guardian specific fragment.
• Memory fragments are collected in the Book of Memories at The Templar Laboratory (Epilogue). The page numbers correspond to the fragment numbers in the table above.
• There is currently a bug where the map tier of the Elder also defines the status for all Elder Guardians, so only the red tier Elder is the deciding factor for being able to get Memory Fragments from Elder Guardians, not the individual map tiers the Elder Guardians actually spawned on.
• Please note that the quest tracker simply displays the amount of memory fragments you’ve found so far, it does not tell you the (roman) memory fragment number you will find next. The fragments are numbered based on the Shaper’s Orb they result in, which does not correspond to the order you find the fragments in. In particular, if you’ve only collected the ten fragments from Elder-influence, you have collected fragments number 1-8, 10 and 13, and the quest tracker will show 10/15.
