War Banner PoE Aura Skill Gem, Support Gems Build, Aura Effect

War Banner is a banner aura skill. While the banner is active, it grants the user and nearby allies increased accuracy and causes nearby enemies to take increased physical damage.

When placed, the Banner provides Adrenaline to nearby allies. Adrenaline is a buff that grants bonus attack damage, movement, attack and cast speed, and physical damage reduction.

Casting once reserves mana to carry a banner which increases the accuracy of nearby allies, and physical damage taken by nearby enemies. Gain stages by killing enemies while carrying the banner. Casting the skill again places the banner, ending the mana reservation. Once placed, it becomes more powerful for each stage gained. You cannot have multiple banners at the same time.You have increased accuracy.Physical damage you take is increased.

When placed, 1% increased Aura effect per Stage

War Banner Support Gems Build

These support gems will affect War Banner auras:

Blood Magic Support – This will cause linked auras to reserve health instead of mana, but increase the cost by the mana multiplier. Note that “reduced mana cost” from increases in quality have no effect on mana reservation.
Spell Totem Support – Casts a totem which will maintain the aura. The cost to cast the totem is the mana that would be reserved multiplied by the Mana Cost Multiplier of the Totem support and any other linked support gems.
Generosity Support – Increases the effect of the non-curse auras on allies (including minions) but prevents them from affecting the player.
Increased Area of Effect Support – Further increases the Area of Effect of the Aura, but increases the Mana reservation by the gem’s multiplier.
Concentrated Effect Support – Lessens area of effect and applies the mana cost mulitplier, but does not provide a bonus to aura damage, as auras cannot directly cause damage. An exception would be the aura from Death’s Oath.
Enlighten Support – Reduces the mana reserved of the aura by the amount of the mana multiplier.
Empower Support – Adds levels to supported auras, but increases their cost by the mana multiplier.
Enhance Support – Increases the quality of the gem, granting increased area of effect, but at increased mana cost.

Note that Inspiration Support does not affect reservation, but does affect auras supported by Spell Totem Support.

Aura Effects

increased Accuracy Rating and Nearby Enemies take % increased Physical Damage are both aura effects that can be modified by Increased Effect of Auras.

Aura effects are always active whether the banner is placed or not.

Players and monsters must be inside the banners radius to receive the aura effects when the banner is placed on the ground.

Because war banner has an aura that affects you and allies, it can be supported by generosity support. Generosity Support will increase all aura effects, including those that affect enemies like Nearby Enemies take % increased Physical Damage.

Buff effects

Adrenaline is a buff that can be modified by Increased effect of buffs on you.

Buffs are temporary effects that only occur after placing the banner with stages.
Destroying the placed banner by creating a new carried banner will also end the granted buff if it still has duration remaining.
