Is FFXIV worth buying?
Final Fantasy XIV has a lot to consume. I have been playing for a while and I like it most of the time. I’m a super casual MMO player, so I’m satisfied with simple things like entertaining battles, beautiful visuals and enough exploration space. These are games that provide me a lot of things.
I would also like to emphasize that there are many free and unsubscribed MMOs that can also provide these functions, but many of them have many problems, which makes them more difficult for more serious players to accept. It may take a while to find games that you think are more positive than negative. At least I find that’s true, so it’s a good experience to play a more comprehensive game like FFXIV. I’ve heard good news about the final game of this game and the more serious game, so if that’s what your game is about, it’s probably a good investment before you get bored.
FFXIV Gil Toss Farming
The “get rich Quick’” scheme in this game is doing new content right when it drops. Crafting materials or loot and then is at its highest and will degrade into nothingness over the next 2 weeks.
the gathering is a low effort for low returns. crafting is medium/high effort for medium/high returns. you could also run roulettes on the class in need, farm cracked clusters and sell materia. Savage Aim VI goes for 15k per on my server, for example.
Gather basic crystals, keep going till you have 1000, then sell as a lump for a low price or multiple chunks for a higher price. It’s how I made my first million gil.
You could do crafting or gathering but there is also materials you can buy with the tombstones you get in the late game or selling the extra materia you get from cracked clusters or some trial bosses drop a crafting material that sells good if it is still a new boss or if the weapon has a glowing version that’s new but mostly selling extra materia and tomb materials should do well enough
I can think of 3 ways with current content 1)The Long Way: lvl up crafter or gatherer but this requires money to make money 2)Group Content: set up map night and hope for rngeesus on your side 3)The Mad Lad: hate yourself and farm Eureka. You’ll get a ton of materia and tokens to sell as well as the occasional 8 mil mount if you’re lucky
Not really as its always the same how to make big money and its not a secret at all. How much profit you make comes down to how much time you can invest in the first two weeks and how much exp you have with preparing materials. After the patch weeks it comes down to analysing the marketboard. People who come here and ask how to make gil will propably never keep a steady income because they dont know how to check the mb (otherwise they wouldn’t need to ask this question)
Ways i make money as someone who doesnt craft at all(i have over 100mil atm): Gathering(much less daunting than crafting), Eureka(items, materia and logogram sales), Map runs(especially if you already gather since the buy in is free at that point), Ex trials materials while farming, Materia transmuting, Investing in certain items that will become sought after post patch. All pretty low effort that doesn’t really change how id normally plays anyway and constantly rake in good returns.
