The four Bestiary Bosses are very rare unique beasts that, upon using their Blood Altar recipe, will open six portals to their realm, a small linear map leading up to a boss fight, akin to vaal side areas.

The fast way to complete “Defeat a Bestiary Boss” challenge is to buy a Bestiary unique beast: Craicic Spider Crab, Farric Tiger Alpha, Fenumal Hybrid Arachnid, or Saqawine Rhex. Then do Blood Altar recipe and defeat the Bestiary Boss.

The Four Bestiary Bosses:

  • Farrul, First of the Plains: A legendary tiger that unleashes powerful physical attacks and lightning damage.
  • Saqawal, First of the Sky: A fearsome avian creature that utilizes elemental attacks and area-of-effect damage.
  • Craiceann, First of the Deep: A colossal crab that employs crushing attacks and water-based abilities.
  • Fenumus, First of the Night: A monstrous spider that relies on chaos damage, DoT (damage over time) effects, and web manipulation.

Accessing the Bestiary Bosses:

Unlike most bosses, you couldn't simply find Bestiary bosses by running maps. Here's how to access them:

  1. Capture Specific Beasts: Each Bestiary boss required capturing a specific legendary beast. These beasts were rare encounters and might have involved specific map mods or areas to increase your chances of finding them.
  2. Crafting the Boss Portal: Once you captured the specific legendary beast, Einhar, the Beastmaster, offered a special crafting recipe. This recipe involved using the captured beast along with other crafting materials to create a portal to the boss arena.
  3. Challenge the Boss: The crafted portal led you to a unique arena where you could fight the Bestiary boss.

Rewards:

Defeating Bestiary bosses offered valuable rewards, including:

  • High-Tier Loot: These bosses had a chance to drop powerful unique items, currency, and maps.
  • Crafting Aspects: By capturing these legendary beasts, Einhar offered the ability to imprint aspects onto other captured beasts, granting them powerful passive effects.

Portals to Farrul's Den can be crafted via a beastcrafting recipe using the Farric Tiger Alpha and any three yellow beasts.

Note that buying the Farric Tiger Alpha beast from other players and adding it to your bestiary WILL NOT unlock the portal recipe and grant access to Farrul's Den. Player need to unlock the recipe prior. However, beastcrafting is account-bound which meant it can be done in previous league.
