About Beacons:

1. Beacons are required to open a Netherrealm. Any Netherrealm stage can only be opened with the specified Beacon.
2. The best way to obtain Beacons is to defeat monsters in the Netherrealm.
3. Usually, the level of the dropped Beacon is the same as the Timemark of the Netherrealm, but not higher than the stage level.
4. Defeating legendary bosses in Netherrealm has a chance to drop higher-rank Beacons. Players have an increased chance to gain higher-rank Beacons by defeating the plane boss.
5. Rank 1 Beacons can be obtained by killing monsters in the later stages of the story.

Netherrealm Beacon

Beacons are very important spoils that serve as tickets to unlock Netherrealm Challenge.

Beacons are dropped in battles and consist of different ranks. The higher a Beacon’s rank is, the more difficult Netherrealm it can unlock. Use 3 Beacons of the identical name and rank to exchange a Beacon of 1 higher rank from the Trader. Use 2 Beacons of the identical name and rank can only exchange a Beacon Blind Box of the same rank.

Beacons are mainly acquired from Netherrealm. Better beacons have a chance to drop from the Bosses of Netherrealm. On top of that, the stage boss of Story Chapter 5 also drops beacons.
