Haunted modifiers in Path of Exile empower monsters in your maps. There are different tiers of Haunted modifiers, with higher tiers granting stronger effects. You can also influence the appearance of Devoted modifiers, which are beneficial to you.

  • Effects: Haunted modifiers can make monsters harder to kill by granting them abilities like chance to freeze, increased stun duration, or reflecting hexes.
  • Devoted Modifiers: By defeating monsters with high-tier Haunted modifiers, you increase the chance of encountering maps with Devoted modifiers. These beneficial mods empower you instead.
  • Atlas Passives: The Atlas Passive tree has nodes that can increase or decrease the effect of Haunted modifiers.
