PoE Grave Crafting Modifiers 3.25 - Path of Exile: Necropolis

Having a corpse with Unresolved Anguish collected by Arimor or using a Filled Coffin adds a collectable corpse to the Necropolis Morgue for grave crafting. The morgue can store up to 64 corpses at a time.

The area contains 88 graves where you can bury corpses. Burying a corpse adds a crafting modifier attached to the monster to a mod pool. Clicking on the "Craft" button in a buried grave brings up the Tome of Arimor, which lists the cumulative total of modifiers used for the grave craft. Each corpses must be directly adjacent to another corpse in the same row or column to affect the craft; diagonals do not count.

All corpses connected to the selected corpse will be used for crafting. Within the Tome of Arimor, the player may choose a specific non-drop-restricted weapon, armour, or jewelry base type with a level requirement equal to or below the grave craft's item level.

By default, the Tome of Arimor will create a Rare item with 4 explicit modifiers. The resulting item's item level will be the average level of all connected corpses plus an undetermined number, up to the highest level corpse used. The resulting item's item level can further be increased with corpses that add +1 to the item level, up to item level 86.

You may choose to unbury a corpse, but this will permanently destroy the corpse.

PoE Craft an Item in The Necropolis

Crafting an item in the Necropolis of Path of Exile requires interacting with Undertaker Arimor and utilizing the corpses you've collected. Here's a breakdown of the process:

Preparation:

  1. Corpses: You need at least one corpse in your collection to craft an item. Ideally, you want a corpse dropped by an enemy with the "Unresolved Anguish" Necropolis modifier, as these offer better crafting options. You can collect regular monster corpses as well, but they might have less desirable crafting outcomes.
  2. Other Resources: Depending on the item you want to craft, there might be additional resource requirements. These could be crafting currencies like Essences or Orbs, specific base items, or even other crafted items.

Crafting Process:

  1. Locate Undertaker Arimor: Head to the Necropolis in your favorite Act location (usually near the Act boss arena). Find Undertaker Arimor, a hooded figure standing near a collection of corpses.

  2. Interact with Arimor: Click on Undertaker Arimor to open his interaction menu.

  3. Select "Craft Items": From the menu, choose the option that says "Craft Items" (might be worded slightly differently depending on the version of Path of Exile).

  4. Crafting Menu: This will display a list of craftable items. The available options will depend on the corpses you have in your collection and any additional resources you might possess.

  5. Choose an Item: Browse through the craftable items and select the one you desire. Each item will display its required resources and the resulting item's potential modifiers.

  6. Confirm Crafting: Once you've chosen the item, confirm the crafting process. This will initiate the crafting and display a timer indicating the completion time. The time can vary depending on the complexity of the item.

  7. Collect the Crafted Item: Once the crafting timer finishes, return to Undertaker Arimor and interact with him again. You should now have the option to claim your crafted item.

Additional Tips:

  • You can experiment with different corpse combinations and additional resources to see what kind of items you can craft.
  • The Necropolis crafting system can be complex, so don't hesitate to consult resources like the Path of Exile Wiki or community forums for detailed information on specific crafting recipes and strategies.
  • Consider the opportunity cost of using corpses for crafting. Valuable corpses can create powerful items, but they might also be used for trading with other players.

By following these steps and understanding the resource requirements, you should be able to craft items in the Necropolis and complete the "Necrotic Necessity" challenge in Path of Exile.

Grave-Crafting

  • You will now be able to select the Base Type of the item you want to craft.
  • As such, we are removing some of the Crafts that allow you to influence Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence armour types, as they will no longer be necessary since you can just freely select the base type. Note that special base types will still need to be obtained through certain corpses, such as Atlas Base Types, and League Base types like Stygian Vise.
  • We are increasing the chances of many of the rarer crafts like Fractured Modifiers and Mirrored outcomes significantly.
  • We've removed the "Tiers" from most of the crafts. They'll now have the values of the existing highest tiers always. For example, instead of being able to get 200% or 500% increased chance for Lightning Modifiers, it will now always be 500%.
  • We have taken all the crafts that affect the Modifier Rating and compressed it into a single craft that affects all modifiers, instead of being type specific. This will not affect existing crafts you have, those will stop dropping and the new one will start dropping once it's deployed.
  • You will be able to directly use Coffins on your List of corpses in your Morgue panel instead of trying to find them within the Morgue.
  • Ctrl+F will go to the Search (Currently must be clicked).
  • We will be sorting crafts by their type, instead of by level, making it much easier to find crafts that affect a specific type of modifier, like Fire Modifiers.
  • The grave-crafts that reroll Sockets and Links have been significantly buffed.
