Split an Item Into Two PoE

Split an Item Into Two

Category Name Beastcrafting Recipe
Split an Item Into Two With Half the Mods on Each Item
Does not work on Influenced or Split items
split beast: Fenumal Plagued Arachnid

Tips

Splitting a rare item into two can turn one or both copies into a magic item depending on the remaining mod count. It then gains the Split modifier which cannot be removed and can potentially “contaminate” the item.

Beastcrafting is a method of crafting by sacrificing beasts to the blood altar in the Menagerie. Each beastcrafing recipe requires four beasts to be sacrificed, with most of them requiring one specific Red Beast and three Rare Beasts. The four chosen beasts are released into the arena surrounding the blood altar and must be killed to complete the recipe. If the player dies during the attempt, the recipe fails and the beasts are lost.

If an item is created, the resulting item level is equal to the level of the main beast sacrificed. Recipes that create unique items can generate league-specific uniques.

Split an Item Into Two Recipe

  • Beast: 1x Fenumal Plagued Arachnid + 3x any rare creature

The minimum level of Fenumal Plagued Arachnid is 70. The beast can only able to capture in Map. You can buy it with the cost of 160 Chaos Orbs Chaos Orbs.

This is a little like a mirror recipe. For example, the original item is A. It splits A into B and C in this way:

  • As a result, A disappeared. B and C have these same properties as A: number of sockets, colour of the sockets, and sockets links.
  • Different from the mirror recipe, it splits the modifiers of A into B and C. Therefore, Both B and C only have a half modifiers of A. Since the new item B or C may have only 2 modifiers, splitting an item into two can turn one or both copies into a magic item.

The best use of Split an Item Into Two recipe

The recipe usually used in conjunction with Imprint Beastcrafting Recipe: Work with Incursion mod, Delve mod (both fossil craft or drop only) Warband mod or legacy explicit mod (non-influenced only), etc. Thus, if the item to be split is a magic item, players can create an imprint first, and then split the item. There is 50% chance those hard to get mod is appeared on the created item, so that the player can restore the mod on the original item by using imprint. i.e. 50% chance to duplicate the mod by using both imprint and splitting recipes, and 50% “unchanged” (another filler mod still went to the created item anyway) and start over.

Split an Item Into Two Tips

  • It splits an Item Into two, with half the mods on each item. Socket related properties are the same as the old item.
  • It may change its rarity.
  • Does not work on influenced items, fractured item, synthesised item, unique item, Mirrored item, corrupted items (including Breach Ring, Talisman, etc), or item with enchantment. Shaper/Elder-influenced Stygian Vise is one of few base types that cannot be duplicated for example.
  • An item with the legacy implicit mod can be used. For example, certain base types that have the implicit mod replaced, such as Assassin Bow, Ornate Sword, etc.
