Open Smuggler's Caches

Heists are missions that can be accessed using a Contract at The Rogue Harbour. The player must infiltrate the facility without raising alert, retrieve the guarded item, and escape with the contents alive.

  • Location: Smuggler's Caches can appear in any non-unique map area or most story areas in Act 6 and beyond. There's a chance for them to spawn, but the specific rate isn't officially revealed by the developers.
  • Content: When you interact with a Smuggler's Cache, it doesn't open in place. Instead, it grants access to the Rogue's Harbor, the central location for Heist activities.
  • Rewards: Inside the Rogue's Harbor, you'll find the following:
    • Contracts: These are missions you can embark on, undertaking Heist activities like retrieving artifacts or disrupting enemy operations.
    • Rogue's Markers: A special currency used to recruit specific members for your Heist team, each with unique skills.
    • Quest Contract (if available): If there's an ongoing Heist quest, you'll also receive a specific contract related to it.

Once you've completed your desired Heist or interacted with the rewards in the Rogue's Harbor, you can return to the map you were in.

Open Smuggler's Caches

Smuggler's Cache is a type of loot container that can be found in act areas from Act 6 onwards and maps. This encounter is considered Extra Content and has a chance to appear in any non-unique map area or most story areas in Act 6 or beyond, along with enabling the drops of Rogue's Markers in that map. The specific chance for Smuggler's Cache to spawn has never been officially published. This mechanic is also referred to as Heist.

Open a Smuggler's Cache

They contain contracts, Rogue's Markers, and a quest contract if any are available. They can also occasionally drop blueprints, as well as unique contracts once their prerequisite quest contracts are completed.

Smuggler's Cache is the only way to obtain quest contract. Smuggler's Cache is one of the two ways to obtain unique contract.
