PoE 3.24: Voidstones each now provide "Tier 16 Maps dropped in Areas have 0.5% chance to become a Tier 17 Map for each Socketed Voidstone".

How do you acquire Voidstones?

  • Each Voidstone is tied to a specific endgame boss:
    • The Uber Elder: Drops the Voidstone of Enduring Hunger.
    • The Maven: Drops the Voidstone of Concealed Desire.
    • The Searing Exarch: Drops the Voidstone of Forgotten Realms.
    • The Eater of Worlds: Drops the Voidstone of Ceaseless Hunger.
  • Defeating these bosses requires specialized strategies and high-level characters, so prepare for a worthy challenge!

Beyond Tiers: Unlocking Atlas Passives and Sextants

  • Voidstones offer more than just tier progression. They unlock Atlas Passives, powerful modifiers that boost various aspects of your map experience, like currency drops, monster density, and specific item rewards.
  • Each Voidstone has its own set of passives, unlocked by leveling it up. Choose wisely to tailor your Atlas to your specific needs and goals.

The Eater of Worlds, The Searing Exarch, The Maven, and Uber Elder each drop a Voidstone when first defeated. When a Voidstone is slotted into the Atlas, all maps on the Atlas drop with a higher map tier base and grants a +25% chance for dropped maps to be one tier higher.
Voidstones are items that enhance the Atlas of Worlds. They are used to upgrade maps’ tiers progressively up to tier 16, and are the successors to the previous Watchstone system.

Sextants can be applied to any Voidstone to grant a bonus enchantment that gets used up as Maps are activated by the Map Device.

In item filter, they belongs to item class Atlas Upgrade Item (previously known as “Atlas Region Upgrade Item”)

Mechanics

There are currently four different Voidstones obtainable by defeating in approximate order of difficulty:

  • The Searing Exarch and The Eater of Worlds
  • The Maven
  • The Uber Elder

In addition to their use of upgrading maps’s tiers, each voidstone also causes maps to have a 25% chance to be one tier higher, with this chance increasing the more Voidstones you socket.
