PoE Omniscient Voidstone Mods

The Watchstone system has also been removed, and replaced with Voidstones which are obtained by defeating The Uber Elder, The Maven, The Searing Exarch and The Eater of Worlds. These Voidstones raise the tiers of maps on your Atlas and can be augmented by Sextants. Socketing a Voidstone in your Atlas now causes Maps dropped in Areas to have a 25% chance to be one tier higher, with this chance increasing the more Voidstones you socket.

PoE Omniscient Voidstone

Ceremonial Voidstone Omniscient Voidstone is a Voidstone. Socketing Voidstones will progressively increase the tier of your maps on the Atlas of Worlds up to tier 16. Sextants can be applied onto Voidstones.
  • Socket this into your Atlas to increase the Tier of all Maps, eventually making them uniformly Tier 16.
  • Drops from The Searing Exarch after it is defeated for the first time.
  • Item Class: Atlas Upgrade Item.
  • Surveyor’s Compass Surveyor’s Compass can be applied to a Voidstone with a sextant mod on it to itemise the sextant mods for later use or trade.
  • Sextants can be found from Tier 14 onward and are applied to Voidstones. When you use one on a Voidstone, it affects your whole Atlas.
  • Because Voidstones come from the highest-tier content, GGG has removed Simple Sextants and Prime Sextants, as they can no longer be used when you would typically acquire them. GGG has added the mods from these Sextants to the pool of mods that Awakened Sextants have.
  • GGG has made no changes to Elevated Sextants.

Trading Sextants

Problem: There are only 4 Voidstones that can be acquired, therefore there is no way to itemise a Sextant modifier for later by slotting in an alternate Voidstone. We like the ability to itemise a Sextant modifier for use at a later time.

Solution: Add a new currency item that can be used on Voidstones, storing the Sextant Modifier in an itemised form, allowing for use at a later time or for trading to other players.

Specifics: added a new currency item, the Surveyor’s Compass Surveyor’s Compass. When applied to a Voidstone that has a Sextant modifier on it, the modifier will be removed from the Voidstone and you will have an itemised Sextant modifier. This will allow valuable Sextants to be used at a time of your choosing or you can choose to trade this Sextant modifier to another player. These new currency items can be purchased from Kirac for 1 Chaos Orb Chaos Orb, and also has a chance to drop like other standard currency items.

Sextants Changes

Problem: Sextants were previously applied to Watchstones which you could acquire very early into your Atlas progression. Sextants will now be applied to Voidstones, which are something you’ll first encounter very deep into your Atlas progression.

Solution: Have Sextants begin dropping closer to the time that you’ll actually have a Voidstone so that you’re not stuck with Sextants that have no use case.

Specifics:

  • Simple Sextants and Prime Sextants have been removed from the game. Instead, the modifiers that you could obtain from these Sextants have been moved to the pool of modifiers that Awakened Sextants have. We’ve also moved some of the drop weighting / drop chance that these Sextants had to the Awakened Sextant Awakened Sextant so that you’re getting roughly the same total amount of Sextants that you were prior to this change.
  • Existing Simple and Prime Sextants will be converted to Awakened Sextants.
  • Stored crafts that exchange Sextants for another type of Sextant have been removed from Horticrafting Stations.
  • Cameria’s Betrayal Research Safehouse rewards are now Orbs of Unmaking.
  • The “Monochrome MonochromeDivination Card can no longer be obtained. Existing Divination Cards can still be turned in, awarding 10 Awakened Sextants.

Why introduce Voidstones?

In Siege of the Atlas, GGG has removed Watchstones and have restored the hidden maps back to the base Atlas so that they don’t have to be unlocked over time. GGG has added much of the power from craftable Watchstones to Atlas Passives so that you can still access the benefits you’re used to, without the busywork of managing Watchstones. Despite the era of Watchstones being over, GGG does really like the ability to raise the tier of maps on your Atlas so that they are eventually all Tier 16.

To this end, GGG has introduced Voidstones.
