Methods to Unlock Favoured Map Slots:

The Favoured Map System allows you to find more of the maps you want to play. Favoured map slots can be unlocked by fulfilling various objectives like completing a Conqueror Map or defeating The Shaper. There are 12 Favoured Map Slots that can be unlocked.

6 Defeat Venarius in the Cortex

8 Defeat The Elder (Uber Elder version) in The Shaper's Realm
9 Defeat The Maven
10 Defeat The Eater of Worlds
11 Defeat The Searing Exarch
12 Complete Maven's Invitation: The Feared

Each time you Favourite a Map, it gains a 10x multiplier to its drop chance when a Map of that tier drops. You can stack this multiplier on a single Map up to 12 times, giving a Map a 120x multiplier to its drop chance.

This does not increase the amount of Maps that drop but makes it much more likely for your Favourite Map(s) to drop.

For example, if you have 20 T16 Maps completed and a single Map with a 120x multiplier on it, you'll have 19 Maps with a weight of 1, and your Favourite Map will have a weight of 120, making it much more likely to be chosen.

Tips:

  • Focus on progressing through the Atlas of Worlds and conquering endgame bosses. This naturally unlocks Favoured Map Slots as you progress.
  • Consider joining Guilds or player communities for assistance with defeating challenging bosses.
  • Utilize resources like online build guides and Path of Exile forums to optimize your character for endgame content.

By defeating endgame bosses and progressing through the Atlas, you'll unlock all Favoured Map Slots in Path of Exile, allowing you to refine your map drops and enhance your endgame experience!

PoE Favorite Maps Guide

 In order to obtain more of a specific map, you can favorite it. But to favorite a map you need to first unlock the favorite slots.

There are 3 map favorite slots per region:

  1. Unlock the first favorite slot by completing all non-unique maps in the region (just run the map and kill the boss)
  2. Unlock the second favorite slot by completing the Atlas bonus for all non-unique maps in the region
  3. Unlock the third favorite slot by completing the Awakening bonus for all non-unique maps in the region

 To favorite a map:
  1. Open the Atlas and click on the favorite slot (circular icon) within the region on the left pane.
  2. Then click on a map to favorite it.
  3. The map's icon and name will show within the region on the left pane.

You can change your favorites at any time. Favoriting the same map multiple times will increase the chances of it dropping.
