Defeat Act 8: Lunaris, Eternal Moon and Solaris, Eternal Sun

In Path of Exile, Act 8 features a two-pronged boss encounter: Lunaris, Eternal Moon, and Solaris, Eternal Sun. These celestial siblings are locked in an eternal struggle, and you'll need to face them both simultaneously.

Defeat Solaris, Eternal Sun

Location: The Lunaris Temple

  1. Killing Dawn, Harbinger of Solaris and take the Sun Orb(location: The Lunaris Temple Level 2)
  2. You also need to find the Moon Orb in order to summon Solaris.(Obtain it by finishing Lunar Eclipse quest)
  3. Take the Moon Orb to the Harbour Bridge and summon Lunaris.
  4. Killing Solaris and Lunaris gained access to Act 9.

Kill Dawn to get Sun Orb

She represents the night and embodies cold damage. She can unleash:

  • Chilling attacks: These deal significant cold damage and can inflict a freeze effect.
  • Lunar projectiles: Lunaris fires bolts of lunar energy that deal area damage.
  • Shadow summons: She can summon shadowy creatures to attack you.

The Fight:

The battle takes place in The Lunaris Temple. Both bosses fight simultaneously, so you'll need to be aware of attacks from both sides. The key is to:

  • Manage the space: Constantly move around the arena to avoid concentrated fire from either boss.
  • Prioritize threats: Focus on interrupting key attacks like solar beams or lunar projectiles, while dodging standard attacks.
  • Elemental resistances: Gear up with high resistances to both fire and cold damage to mitigate their attacks.

  • The arena has destructible pillars. Use them strategically to create cover from specific attacks.
  • There are two hidden artifacts in the Act, the Sun Orb and the Moon Orb. These can provide temporary buffs against their respective bosses.
