PoE Kingmaker

Ah, the Kingmaker! It's a truly unique and powerful Despot Axe in Path of Exile, packing a hefty punch not just for yourself, but for your entire party. Let's break down its stats and potential:

Pros:

  • Massive Increased Physical Damage: The base increased physical damage ranges from 300% to 360%, making it a powerhouse for any physical build.
  • Solid Attack Speed and Crit Chance: With 7-12% increased attack speed and 30-40% increased critical strike chance, you'll be hitting fast and critting often.
  • Party Support: This axe shines because of its aura-like effects for nearby allies:
    • 30% increased item rarity for better loot drops.
    • Culling Strike to finish off weakened enemies.
    • No mana cost for melee attacks for your allies.
    • 50% increased critical strike multiplier for devastating crits.
    • 10 Fortification for increased damage mitigation.

Cons:

  • High Requirements: Level 66, 140 Strength, and 86 Dexterity make it inaccessible to most builds until late in the game.
  • Two-Handed: This weapon locks you out of wielding a shield, potentially sacrificing some defense.
  • Limited Support: Its benefits cater specifically to physical builds and melee-focused allies.

Overall:

The Kingmaker is a fantastic endgame weapon for physical builds that utilize party support. Its raw damage and aura-like effects can significantly boost your entire party's effectiveness, making it a valuable asset for group play or self-sufficient solo builds with strong summons.

Tips:

  • Build synergy: Consider skills and ascendancy passives that work well with high physical damage and crit chance.
  • Party composition: Make the most of the Kingmaker's party support by surrounding yourself with allies who benefit from increased crit chance, attack speed, and melee damage.
  • Gem sockets: Link the Kingmaker with support gems that further enhance your physical damage, attack speed, or critical strike chance.

If you're looking for a weapon that turns you and your allies into an unstoppable force, the Kingmaker is definitely worth aiming for. Remember, while it might not be suitable for every build, its potential to empower your entire party makes it a truly legendary item.

When the character walks around however, the Animate Guardian will fall in and out of range to apply Kingmaker's Presence.
