FIFA 22 Division Rivals Matchmaking

1. How Does FUT 22 Rivals Matchmaking Work?

Matchmaking in Division Rivals aims to find the best possible match by looking for opponents in neighbouring Stages and Divisions while taking into account the player’s physical location when determining the FIFA Game Data Center that the match will be played on.

Players in the Elite Division will matchmake only with other Elite Players based on Skill Rating and the player’s physical location.

2. Divisions 10–1 Matchmaking

For both Solo and Co-Op Matchmaking for Divisions 10–1, you’ll matchmake with players based on two different factors:

  1. Your location. This determines which FIFA Game Data Center location will be used for your match.
  2. Your Rank. This means you’ll be matched with players that have a similar Rank as you.

3. Elite Division Matchmaking

Elite Division Matchmaking in Division Rivals is based on two different factors:

  1. Your location. This determines which FIFA Game Data Center location will be used for your match.
  2. Your Skill Rating. You’ll play with players who are close to the same Skill Rating as you.
    • As long as you have a 2200 Skill Rating or above, you’ll matchmake as if you had 2200 Skill Rating. This is to help make it easier for higher-skilled players to find matches. The Skill Rating factor has a larger range on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia versions of FIFA 22 to better accommodate the player base on these platforms.

If you’re playing Co-Op, the Skill Rating of the higher-skilled player in a pair is used when matchmaking, meaning that at least two of the four potential Co-Op participants can have a similar Skill Rating.

4. Can I matchmake with players from other platforms?

You can only matchmake with players who are playing the same version of FIFA 22 as you, on the same console family. For example, if you are playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 22, you could matchmake with someone playing the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 22 on PlayStation 5. In this scenario, you can’t matchmake with someone playing the PlayStation 5 version of FIFA 22. The same applies to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, while PC players can only matchmake with each other.

There is no cross-play across different platform families in FIFA 22, meaning that PlayStation, Xbox, and PC players cannot matchmake with one another.
