List of D2R Achievements Guide.

This trophy requires you to complete act 5 and kill the final boss of the entire game Baal . Most of the quests in this act are purely optional and up to you to get them if you would like information regarding the quests in question please refer to Completed Grimoire.
You will start in Harrogath and make your way through the beginning fields until you reach the frigid highlands.

• You’ll then make your way towards the arrest plateau. After traversing those two area’s you will come to a cave in the wall guarded by “thresh socket” enter the cave behind him for the crystalline passage.
• After entering the passage you’re looking for the Glacial trail entrances, once you find that make your way into and through the trail until you come across the entrance for the Ancients’ way.
• After entering the ancient way you’ll eventually come to the exit at “The arreat summit” in which you will test your might and mettle against the Ancients themselves in order to gain entry to the world stone keep.
• After killing the Ancients and being awarded a free level you can enter the world stone keep
• You are heading to the throne of Baal himself

You will have to face off against 5 separate waves of his elite forces

1. The first group is a small group consisting of 1 fallen shaman and some of his little fallen minions around. He will resurrect them if you don’t kill the shaman quick enough.
2. The second group is full of Ice elemental skeletal mages and the Unholy Mages from act 2 (the Anubis looking guys)
3. The third group is Bartuc and his council members (they cast hydras and lightning at you)
4. The fourth group consists of 10 venom lords
5. The last group consists of Baal’s minions exclusively a new enemy only found in the 5th wave of the throne of destruction.

After killing all 5 of his waves and listening to Baal laugh maniacally every time you wipe a wave out he will retreat into the portal behind him. Follow him into the portal to face your final battle against Baal himself.
Notable things about Baal boss fight

• He can shoot out a large cone of destruction that will instantly drain all your mana.
• He can stomp and shoot out a Blue V shape that causes constant knockback if you’re hit by it.
• He can summon tentacles to fight for him hitting you while you run around
• He can shoot out a large AoE attack that damages everything in its path.
• He can duplicate himself by making a clone Baal
  • this can easily be deterred if you look at their names. The REAL Baal will have Demon directly below the B in his name where the clone will have Demon to the right of the B in his name. You could also just keep an eye on him when he splits and you’ll be able to tell. He usually casts his clone away from his position before he teleports to confuse you.

You have completed act 5 and beat the game. Congratulations!
