This is by far the most agonizing and painful trophy you will probably ever undertake in a video game. As the trophy states, you need to reach level 99 in the game. Unfortunately, this can only really be sped up by constantly playing in a party of 8 total people online at ALL times doing the most EXP intensive stuff in the game like chaos runs or constant Baal runs for weeks on end. You may think this trophy wouldn’t be that hard, but to be honest, very few people who have played this game over the years since release have ever come close to reaching level 99. It is a SEVERELY large grind and one that is very hard to execute due to the difficulty spike and situational things that could happen.
Things to take note and pay attention to that could make you advance progress or lose progress
In nightmare and hell mode if you DIE you LOSE experience!!

• This is not a joke. To make matters worse let’s say you were level 98. and you had half a bar full of exp if you died at that moment and couldn’t reclaim your body to get some back you have literally lost over a week maybe 2 weeks of pure exp grinding its that big of a loss. Dying at that high of a level with that amount of exp will set you back literal weeks of actual grind time, so it is VERY crucial that you do everything in your power to not die.

There is only 1 item in the game that can increase your exp % to a max of 10% and it is called the Annihilus Charm which is only dropped from the super boss “Diablo Clone”. In order to spawn a Diablo Clone, you and the Diablo 2 community must sell actual Stone of Jordan rings to the merchants to an accumulated total so that he will walk the earth. If clone Diablo does spawn in your game by some random chance in heaven you’ll need a team to take him down. The downfall to this is that when clone Diablo dies he drops ONE charm, so if you’re running with randoms or even friends they all have a chance to snatch that amazing charm up for themselves so you better hope you get it.

Interesting facts about this exp grind

Going from level 1 all the way to level 98 is the exact same EXP required to go from level 98 to level 99! Essentially you’re gaining 98 levels and then gaining another 98 levels again but in 1 experience bar this time.
Also level 98-99 is equivalent to running around 4000-4500 Baal runs in a player’s 8 scenario and 1 death could cost you around 200 Baal runs worth of exp if you were to die.
