  • Increased Depth Increase Chance: Boosts the possibility of encountering deeper Abyss depths, which yield better jewels and more currency drops.

Maximize Encounters and Depths:

  • Increased Abyss Encounters: Simply increases the number of Abyss encounters you find on maps.

  • Scarabs for Abyss Encounters: Consider Scarabs that increase the occurrence of Abyss encounters or modify depths for better rewards.

Additional Tips:

  • Consider your Playstyle: Choose additional passives based on your preferred farming methods and preferences for map modifiers.

When traversing an Abyss, a fissure will emerge on the ground, releasing a few monsters. As you follow the fissure's path, it expands, culminating in the formation of a pit teeming with numerous monsters, including rare ones. Failure to swiftly progress or eliminate most of the pit's denizens causes it to seal shut. However, successful navigation or extermination spawns another fissure leading to a different pit. Each Abyss may unveil between one and four such pits. Due to the inability of the cracks to intersect, the Abyss may prematurely conclude if it becomes trapped in a confined space.

Clearing the final pit summons an Abyssal Trove, ripe for plunder. Alongside standard loot, the trove always harbors at least one Abyss jewel, with the possibility of more. Occasionally, a Stygian Spire creature materializes in lieu of the trove, yielding a Stygian Vise alongside typical trove loot.

In zones of level 78 and beyond, Abysses boasting four pits may instead unveil an entrance to the Abyssal Depths, where an encounter with an Abyssal Lich awaits.
