Complete Ambush Encounters challenge: Open Rare and Corrupted Vaal Vessel Strongboxes in Map Areas.

Atlas Passives:

  • Vaal Vessels from Vaal Temple map Count as Strongboxes

Reflection of Entrapment(Search): Contains 5 additional Strongboxes; Stongboxes are Rare and Corrupted

Note that Vaal Vessel in vaal side area is not counted as a strongbox, but the tooltip for the unique version, Atziri’s Vessel, indicates that it does count as a strongbox. Vaal Temple Map‘s implicit also spawns a strongbox version of a Vaal Vessel.

Atziri’s Vessel

Atziri’s Vessel is a unique Vaal Vessel that can be found in the Vaults of Atziri(a unique map, Trade Search).

It behave like a normal Vaal Vessel which would not spawn monster. However, Vaal Orb can be used on this Strongbox, which you cannot use it on a normal Vaal Vessel. The game will warn you that normal Vaal Vessel is not a strongbox thus unable to use currency on it. Nevertheless, apparently there is no effect apart from consuming the Vaal Orb when using it on Atziri’s Vessel. Note that the game also warns you that Engineer’s Orb cannot be used on this unique strongbox.

The loot container has 8 Vaal Fragments and/or Vaal Gems.
