Skull and Bones Levels

There are two primary ways to interpret "levels" in Skull and Bones:

1. Infamy Rank:

  • This is the main progression system in Skull and Bones, reflecting your overall pirate reputation and experience.
  • It starts at Outcast and progresses through various ranks like Scoundrel, Rover, Buccaneer, and ultimately reaches Kingpin.
  • Increasing your Infamy Rank:
    • Complete missions and contracts.
    • Sink or board enemy ships.
    • Explore the vast game world and uncover secrets.
  • Benefits of Higher Infamy Rank:
    • Unlock access to new ship blueprints, weapons, equipment, and vendors with more advanced offerings.
    • Participate in higher-level activities and challenges.

2. Ship Level:

  • This represents the individual level of your ship.
  • It increases as you gain experience through various activities, such as:
    • Completing missions and contracts.
    • Engaging in successful ship combat.
    • Exploring the game world and discovering new locations.
  • Benefits of Higher Ship Level:
    • Increases your ship’s overall durability, firepower, and performance.
    • Allows you to equip higher-tier upgrades and weapons on your ship.

Important Note:

  • While not technically a "level" system, acquiring Legendary Treasure Maps through Cutthroat Cargo Hunt events allows you to progress through unique challenges and claim valuable rewards. These challenges involve deciphering clues and exploring the game world to find hidden treasures.

Therefore, understanding both Infamy Rank and Ship Level is crucial in Skull and Bones. They represent two distinct but interconnected aspects of your progression, ultimately contributing to your success and reputation as a fearsome pirate.
