PoE Challenge 3.24: Craft Equipment in The Necropolis while using the following Crafting Modifiers resulting in an Item Level 81 or higher item.
Reforge Socket Numbers or Links
Reforge socket numbers 30 times, keeping the greatest number of sockets
Reforge socket numbers 200 times, keeping the greatest number of sockets
Reforge socket links 20 times, keeping the greatest number of links
Reforge socket links 200 times, keeping the greatest number of links
These modifiers were part of the Necropolis crafting system in Path of Exile and offered ways to manipulate the sockets and links on an item. Here’s a breakdown of what they do:
Reforge Mechanics:
Reforging is a crafting process that involves using a special currency item to change an aspect of an item while potentially keeping some desirable properties.
Socket Numbers:
These modifiers (“Reforge socket numbers”) indicate attempts to modify the number of sockets on an item.
Number of Reforges: The numbers (30 or 200) represent how many times the reforging process would be attempted.
Keeping the Greatest Number: This signifies that after each reforge attempt, the outcome with the highest number of sockets would be retained.
Example:
If you used a “Reforge socket numbers 30 times, keeping the greatest number of sockets” modifier, the crafting process would attempt to change the number of sockets on your item 30 times. It would keep the outcome with the highest number of sockets achieved throughout those attempts.
Socket Links:
These modifiers (“Reforge socket links”) specifically focus on reforging the way sockets are linked on an item.
Linked Sockets: In Path of Exile, some items have sockets that can be linked together. This allows you to use specific skill gems that require linked sockets to function.
Reforge Process: Similar to socket numbers, this modifier would attempt to reforge the linked sockets on the item 20 or 200 times, keeping the outcome with the most linked sockets achieved.
Necropolis and Reforging:
