How to get Aisling Crafting Bench?

Aisling Crafting Bench adds a Veiled mod to an item, with a small chance of adding two Veiled mods. In order to get it, you must defeating the Syndicate Mastermind while Aisling is a Captain (3 star rank) stationed in Research.

A mod received by unveiling will be more powerful than the craftable versions of the same mod, and does not count as a crafted mod.

Aisling's crafting bench that adds a Veiled modifier now first removes a random modifier, so it is riskier to use as a later step of item crafting rather than being an obvious final step because of its very consistent modifier pool.

Aisling Rewards

Items with two veiled mods can be found at a much lower rate, and are rewards from certain Syndicate Safehouses from Aisling Laffrey.

Veiled Modifiers Guide

The modifier will do nothing until it is taken to Jun, Veiled Master to unveil it. Unveiling the mod gives you up to three choices on what the modifier will be. Unveiling mods adds experience towards unlocking it as a crafting recipe for the Crafting Bench.

The following is an example for Veiled Mods:

Veiled Mods 3.15

After the rework to the Veiled item system in 3.14.0, we've reviewed how the Veiled Chaos Orb and Aisling crafts from Betrayal Safehouses work, and have made some changes to make crafting less deterministic in the outcomes, as the Unveiled modifiers can be very powerful additions to an item.

Veiled Modifiers no longer count as Crafted modifiers, so you can't easily remove them if you add the wrong modifier type while Aisling crafting. This has the advantage of now being able to ‘block’ modifiers you do not want to unveil, by crafting a mod you don’t want to unveil on the item prior to unveiling. By restricting the pool of mods you can unveil you have a higher chance of unveiling the mod you want.

Veiled Chaos Orbs can no longer be used to get multiple Veiled modifiers on an item. Previously this was possible taking advantage of meta-crafting modifiers, or fractured modifiers.

Dual-attributes modifiers can no longer be rolled with other modifiers that grant flat amounts of attributes of the same types, the exception being those that grant all attributes. We didn’t like that veiled modifiers felt mandatory to get the highest amount of flat attributes of a specific type on an item.

The following craftable veiled modifiers have been adjusted. Please note that only the highest tier of craftable modifiers have been listed - lower tiers of these modifiers have also been adjusted in similar ways.

Veiled Items

Once you have met Jun Ortoi, you will begin encountering the Immortal Syndicate. If you manage to defeat an Immortal Syndicate member, they may drop a Veiled Item. Veiled Items are special rare items with Veiled Modifiers - modifiers masked by ancient magic that only Jun Ortoi can reveal.

When Jun unveils the modifier, you'll be presented with three different options for what that modifier will ultimately be. Not only are many of these modifiers very powerful, but unveiling them allows you to craft those modifiers using your Crafting Bench in your Hideout! So your choice is very important, even if you have no plans to use the item it appears on.

Veiled Items

Even if you don't want to use the Veiled item, each unveiling grants progress towards the ability to craft those mods on any item you want.

Veiled modifiers often have multiple tiers, which can only be learned for crafting by unveiling the same modifier several times, and some can only appear on items from specific Immortal Syndicate members. You can check whether a Veiled modifier is from a certain member before you unveil it by looking at the advanced modifier description (enabled in Settings).

Once you have unlocked a Veiled modifier for crafting, it will be available for all of the characters you create in that league.

Veiled modifiers are considered crafted mods, even if you didn't craft them. That means that, under ordinary circumstances, you won't be able to craft additional modifiers onto an item you have unveiled.

One final thing to consider: even if you have unlocked all the Veiled modifiers you want, Veiled items still have value -- to other players! Some players may pay a premium for items that have not yet been unveiled, so that they can rapidly learn the recipes! Consider selling Veiled items to other players!
