PoE Alternate Atlases: Unlock all three Atlas Passive Trees

21. Alternate Atlases(3)

Unlock all three Atlas Passive Trees.

Unlocking all three Atlas Passive Trees in Path of Exile involves progressing through the Atlas of Worlds and accumulating Atlas Passive Points.

Unlocking the Trees:

There are a total of 132 Atlas Passive Points available. Here’s how they unlock the three trees:

  • Tree 1: Unlocked automatically at the beginning of the Atlas progression.
  • Tree 2: Unlocked upon acquiring 50 Atlas Passive Points.
  • Tree 3: Unlocked upon acquiring 100 Atlas Passive Points.

Alternate Atlases

In 3.24 you can now have multiple copies of the Atlas Tree, which can be swapped between maps at your leisure. You can unlock up to two extra trees, for a total of three, by progressing through the endgame and completing core content. When you open a Map, you can select which tree you would like to use. For a given league you’ll never feel constrained to playing your endgame a single way. You can also label your trees to easily identify which one has which content.

Earning Atlas Passive Points:

There are two primary ways to earn Atlas Passive Points:

  • Map Completion Bonus: Completing maps for the first time awards Atlas Passive Points. The difficulty of the map determines the number of points rewarded. White Maps grant 1 point, Yellow Maps grant 2 points, and Red Maps grant 3 points. Corrupted Red Maps offer bonus points depending on the corruption modifiers.
  • Kirac’s Atlas Skill Books: Defeating Pinnacle Bosses (The Shaper, The Elder, The Maven, The Eater of Worlds, and The Searing Exarch) for the first time with Kirac on your team rewards an Atlas Skill Book containing 6 points.

Tips for Faster Atlas Progression:

  • Focus on Map Completion: Prioritize completing maps you haven’t completed before to maximize Atlas Passive Point gain.
  • Run Higher Tier Maps: While more challenging, higher tier maps offer more points per completion.
  • Corrupt Maps: Consider using Vaal Orbs to corrupt Red Maps for potential bonus points, but be aware of the increased difficulty.
  • Complete Atlas Objectives: Completing Bonus Objectives on maps can grant additional rewards and potentially Atlas Passive Points.

By diligently progressing through the Atlas, completing maps, and defeating bosses, you’ll eventually accumulate enough Atlas Passive Points to unlock all three Atlas Passive Trees in Path of Exile, allowing you to customize your endgame experience!
